APs with Magic Bands - traveling with non-APs

We are visiting WDW in January staying off-property. My family of 5 have Annual Passes and Magic Bands from previous trips to use for FP+ and park admission so we are all set. We are traveling with my parents who are not Annual Passholders.

I will be in WDW next week, so I'm wondering:

1. Can I / Should I purchase Magic Bands for them to use?

2. OR......Is there a way for me to give them 2 of our old Magic Bands and link the band to their profile to use for FP+ and park admission?

3. OR.....Is it best for them to spend a night at a WDW resort before we all check into our off-site accommodation so they can get MBs that way? That seems silly, but could be arranged if needed as they will be in the area a couple days before my family.

Thanks so much!

Well, they really don't need magic bands at all. Do they have tickets? If yes, those function the same as a magic band except of course, they cannot charge to the room with them. You cannot transfer your previous bands to them.

You can, but it's not necessary. Off-site guests will receive their tickets on an RFID enabled Admission Card. The Admission Card has most of the same functionality as a MagicBand, just lacks the long range transmitter.

Nope.

Basically, same answer as for question 1.

yeah, there's no need for Magic Bands. You can make FPs on regular tickets. If your family really wants them as a souvenir or for convenience, they can be purchased, but it's not really worth it imo.

They don't actually need MB, and if you are not staying on site, there is no benefit to having them (no need for them to open your room and no availability of room charging if you stay off site). Everything they can do with the MB (get into the park, link photos to memory maker and get FP+) they can do with the regular ticket card.

I don't think that you can transfer a MB from one person to another. The MB from your previous trips will always work YOUR ticket.
