ap's what pass do you need to get disc.

i see there are few ap's you can buy, adult, child, pre, ect. what pass is accepted for the rate deals?

Just the basic adult annual pass is fine for the codes. The reservation must be made in the name of an adult and the annual pass must be in the name of the person with the reservation so the child pass will not work for the codes.

Okay so say you've got your ap vouchers, does anyone know the policy on checking in? Can the vouchers be used to check in and get the discount, or do they have to be activated?

You can also use a child's AP to get discounts. As per Disney CRO, you do not have to use an adults. You can put the child's name on the reservation along with your name I was told by CRO many times. Personally as many times as I've used my AP for discounts I have NEVER been asked to show any AP at check in.

I have never had to show my pass when checking in. We checked in, had our vouchers ready to show but were never asked. We had a PS for Chef Mickey's the night of our arrival so we drove to the CR and hopped the monorail to MK and got our AP's and went back to Chef Micky's for dinner. We have gone a few times with the AP discount and never had to show them.

thanks, has anyone been asked to show an ap and given the child ap like suggested above. Would rather get the pass for my son ( he may use it more than me), but would like to be sure it works for discounts to help off set the cost of a long stay.

I have yet to be asked about showing my pass, but they always tell you to have them when you check in, worse case scenerio you just run to a park and get it activated and come back and check in, or do it first if you must. Im pretty sure they will let you check in with out activating it but will probably want to see an activated pass with your name on it at some point during your stay.
