AP's unblocked and still no lines????

Today was busier than yesterday, but with indy down a large part of the day, SM acting up this morning, still a bit of marathon runners and the holiday it wasn't surprising.

On a side note, is the water in DCA looking a bit brown?

How far did you drive?

Jack

Not nearly as far as you have to drive BJD. :worship: But a 8 hour trek from Northern Arizona to Anaheim seems like a long drive to me, especially since I hate drive trips. I'd rather take the 1 hr short hop on SWA any day. This trip was a last minute impulse trip so driving was more economical.

We have also just returned and spent 6 days in the park. Although there seemed to be lots of people about there were few long waits. On one day there was no queue at all for Dumbo as we passed by at 09:00 (08:00 opening day). We did not wait more than 15 minutes for a ride and rarely needed to utilize fast passes. We had an amazing trip. :)

I too have been surprised by the reports of light crowds over the last few weeks. However, we have all heard the saying that the best predictor of the future is the past. Last August DLR was swamped after the AP blockout lifted. We all read about it and BlackJackDelta lived it. Expecting it to be swamped again was an entirely reasonable expectation. Sort of like expecting hotter weather in the summer and cooler in the winter. Not always true but true more often than not. I am sincerely glad for you (and a bit envious actually :)) and the other folks who had lower crowds. But there is no way I personally would go right after the AP blockout lifts. It is too unpredictable for me. :cool2:

I never said it was unreasonable to believe it might be crowded that week, or that people shouldn't try to guess and plan. I have fun doing that myself. My point was about how the whole year has been less crowded than expected, except during the tourist seasons. How planning is fun, but futile. In the end, it will be what it will be.

Sorry Tracy, I really do not want to get in a wording debate with you. :)

Let me just concede that I misunderstood what you meant by "futile" and that your further clarification above resolves this. :thumbsup2
