I was in Albertsons today, looking at their gift cards, since they are offering $20 coupons for every $100 you spend in gift card purchases. I noticed that they are still selling the APs & tickets at the old price, probably limited to stock on hand, so your mileage may vary, but worth it ($40 off for the premium pass), as long as you don't care about the payment plan on the APs.

How long do you have to use the AP GC sold there?

I believe they would be legally treated the same as gift cards, which in the state of California do not expire. That being said, you probably have 30 or 60 days to activate it (I am not sure, you would need to look at the pass in the store), otherwise it basically becomes a gft card towards the then current price of an annual pass (that would be legal, but they can't take your money and run).

Hmm interesting. Though I'll probably stick with $500 in DGCs and use them for my next AP. Then save the $100 on groceries.

The AP vouchers we purchased from Albertsons say they must be redeemed by December 31, 2011.

I understand people have been able to use expired vouchers at DLR, but they had to pay the difference between the old price and the current price.

Just a heads up on the Albertsons gift card deal though... the terms don't specifically mention it, but apparantly amusement vouchers are supposed to be excluded. We were still able to get the $20 coupons with ours, but that could be a YMMV kind of thing.
