AP's Not out yet

I just got a very nice CM and she told me that the new rates always come out on a Sunday. So if they were to come out this weekend it would be Sunday AM.

Anna, I remember that day well!! I think it was 3/25/00. I got up at 7:00am on a Saturday and called right away, but they weren't out yet. An hour or so later I checked the boards (I was mostly on the AOL boards at that time) and found out that they were out. I was able to get CSR with no problem, so I guess I was lucky.

Regnurs, I'm not sure about them always coming out on a Sunday. Some of the past few codes seemed to have come out on a Monday, but not always. I don't think there is a rhyme or reason to it but I could be wrong.

pgjam, They have the Mickey Monitor which publishes the AP discounts in them, but by the time that comes out (I think the next one is May), the discounts have usually been out for awhile. You are better off calling yourself, checking these boards or check Mousesavers (though right now I hear that Mary is in Europe, so that might not get updated until she returns).

I don't know why I even think I'll get an AP rate this time around, especially if they are only thru 7/3.

We arrive on the 3rd, but the first 3 nights at the YC (7/3, 7/4, 7/5) are sold out except for concierge, and although I have rack rate, no other discounts can be applied.... I've tried AAA, codes, etc. Always the same answer....because they are sold out. So..... when AP rates come out I'm sure I'll hear the same story.

I'll probably have better luck with the next set that go from 7/4 arrivals. At least I have a chance with my ressie from 7/6 on...... I bet those aren't released until June!

Just checked again at 9:40 AM CST and no AP rates yet. Very nice CM said they were "waiting on the edge or their seats" for them also and her feeling was "anytime now". She mentioned that they are released by Marketing and they work M-F. Don't know if that means none available over the weekend but several others have posted that the AP rates have come out over weekends before. Anyway we probably should check once more tonight then start again tomorrow .

I don't know about historical trends, but I know that last December's AP rates came out on a Sunday....July 28 to be exact.

What dates are the next batch of AP rates supposed to cover?
We are possibly going at the end of July. I seem to remember last year that AP rates for the whole summer were released at once. But then again, that was a whole year ago, so I probably am not remembering correctly.

Yes, the AP rates for the whole summer (at least through the middle of August) came out all at one time last year.

I've got the 4th of July problem, too. I arrive on the 4th. Right now I am at the Swan on the government rate, so that isn't too bad (cheaper than moderate rack rates) but I really want an AP moderate.

I for one am hoping that the rates come out for the whole summer! My stay is from Aug 19th to the 27th and we're paying waterview rack rate at CSR!!!

When I called last night, they said it would cover from april til July 3rd. I guess we won't know for sure til the rates come out, but thats the info I got from CRO.

Morning All,

Just checked with CRO. No Ap rates yet this morning. I had a very nice CM named Shelly who also said she had heard it rumored that the current codes out would be just as good as the passholder rates.

But we know to take everything CRO says with a grain of salt.

Maybe we should check again later this morning
