Well I called again today 3/28/03 and AP's still aren't out. But, the agent I talked to suggested strongly that I call back Sunday evening or even better Monday morning. I wonder if that means they are pending?

Your welcome!!!! I hope this means that Monday we will have AP rates. I would love to upgrade to the Poly but not at what the Fl res rates are. I would like the $189 I paid a couple of yrs ago :)

My experience the past few years, is that they are released on a weekend. I wonder...............

Usually AP rates are about the same as Florida Resident rates. There has been times when the Resident rate has actually been less. So I would look at the Resident rate as the marker of what the AP rate will be (if they are released).

The codes and discounts for Annual Passes.

Are you saying that there will be discount prices on Annual Passes or are you talking about all the discounts you get for having an Annual Pass?

Sorry I'm new to all this.

Pilgram Girl:

We are talking about the hotel rates that you can get with your annual pass.

Typically we all wait like hmmm (sorry guys) Vultures for the discount hotel rates to come out.

is what the lady from CRO just told me. I just got off the phone with CRO as I had called and booked a second room at the YC for a the last few days of our vacation so my Mom can join us. At the time I booked it I gave the CRO the "AEF" code. That dropped the price $100/night per room!! When the reservation arrived today it said it was a package with the balance due in April. We don't arrive until May and my other ressie said no money due till we arrive. SO, I called and the woman told me it was because of the "AEF" code they treat it like a package, BUT because it is a room only reservation I can ignore the message that says the balance is due and pay when I arrive to check in. I asked her specifically about AP's and she checked and said no, maybe Sunday then she said, no Tuesday was the 1st of April and to call back then to see if the AP's had been put into their system.
Now maybe they will be out this Sunday and they don't want to be deluged with calls so she told me to call Tuesday...who knows... I will wait anxiously like evryone else!!

thymed...... that's exactly what happened to us with the code. We tried calling back several times because someone posted that some CRO employees will take that 21 days prior for the payoff off of the ressie but we couldn't find even one that would do it for us. They also told us we could ignore it and pay at check in but we're a little apprehensive about doing that and not having it in writing. Are you going to take the chance and pay at check in? Do you think if we get an AP rate it could take us back to the original way of paying? I hope they come out this week. It is getting so nerve wrecking being fearful of missing them. Thanks

Bumpin....So I can post easier in the AM with my coffee goggles on...LOL.

If you can get a Florida resident rate, you better hop on it, I really don't think AP rates will be any better than current codes for the general public, if even that good.

As to the 189 you paid a couple of years ago, I would love for gas to be the price it was a couple of years ago, but I don't see it happening.

Just called CRO...Still not out yet!!!

Maybe 4/1. Guess we will have to keep tryin. Sorry

What are the Flordia residents rates for Beach Club and the All Stars?

I have Sports booked for 10 nights, but if I can get a good AP rate for the BC, I'll change it to 9 nights Sports and 1 night BC. The BC will be a surprise for DS11. He wants to try out SAB but there's no way I'm going to stay there for 10 nights.

This is a great thread. I am waiting (im)patiently for the AP rates!

My experience in the past is they don't usually have them loaded into their system or ready to book right when they open at 7:00am. It sometimes takes a couple of hours before they are in there and can be booked, so I would call again in a little while just to see if they release them today. Otherwise just keep checking once or twice a day for the next couple of days. It sounds like they are coming out soon.

I'm hoping for AP rates to see if they are better than the come back rate that I have at CBR which is about $95/night including tax. If they are the same as the FL resident rate, that would save me about $10/night. But if they're not, I'll be happy with the rate I have.

I have to call to put in some requests and make some dining PS, so I'll also check.

Momto8 is right. I'll never forget 3 years ago. We all knew AP rates were coming out (it was a Sat. morning). I checked at 7:00 a.m. - nothing. Started cleaning house. Checked the boards again around 9:30 and lo and behold, the rates were out and gone!! I called back and was crying! LOL!! I think the CM felt sorry for me and somehow came up with a couple of nights for the GF. I was then able to get 3 nights at CR with AP rate so we stayed at both hotels that year. I did come to find out that the GF sells out very quickly!!

Good Luck! :D

Anna

I'm also new to the AP discounts. Do they mail you a notice regarding the discounts or do you just ask about it when you call to make a ressie?
