APs from promoparcs etc sponsorship question

Can you still sponsor people who have bought their APs from a 3rd party? (e.g CEM, Promoparcs)

Obviously they are already discounted price so I wouldn't expect the 10% but can the sponsor still get their stamp?

I am going 28-30 December and again in Aug 2014, plus possibly another trip or 2 once that AP is burning a hole in my pocket

You need to be present to sponsor the person buying the annual pass, and they also have to buy it through Disney, in person.

I'm a bit lost with your question squirkle - do you mean you have bought an AP through ce/promoparcs, have activated it, and now you want to sponsor others and get the 10% off for them and the stamp for you? Yes you can do that, but not if they buy their APs from promparcs/ce - they have to buy them in your presence at DLP, and pay full gate price (minus your 10% sponsorship discount) for them.

You also have to have your permanent laminated AP for at least one calendar month before you can start sponsoring other AP purchases, and whoever you are sponsoring can't have held an AP themselves for at least 2 years prior to you sponsoring them for a new AP purchase.

No I meant I have bought my AP from CEM and will be activating it in December. Could someone still sponsor me if they were there at the same time and get their stamp?

I guessing from the replies this is a no, as I am not buying it from Disney and that is fine by me as I have saved more than 10% already. I just didn't want to waste the opportunity for someone else to get a stamp on their AP, if they were in the park same time but it looks like that wouldn't be possible anyway.

Ah I see now - no, no-one can get a sponsorship stamp for your AP, as you've not bought it at DLP.
