Agreed. Their latest reply to someone on Twitter:It seems even WDWToday doesn't know for sure what's going on lol.

Hi there, Amy! You should be able to customize them with the new options real soon! Be sure to keep an eye out for more information in the upcoming weeks!
Someone just asked about the mixed messages from Disney Twitter today and this is response (clear as mud):Why is it so hard for them to commit to a date for when they will be available? Why not just wait to announce the option until their systems are ready?
Someone just asked about the mixed messages from Disney Twitter today and this is response (clear as mud):
Matt, we truly apologize for the confusion. Please check back periodically for this option to be active in your My Disney Experience account
Because several years ago, Disney wanted to save money on their IT department by hiring foreign workers instead of U.S. workers, as they would work for less money and want fewer benefits. Disney quickly discovered the law wouldn't allow them to fire U.S. citizens to bring in foreign workers on H1-B visas, as these visas are intended solely for hiring people when there are no U.S. workers that are qualified and willing to take the jobs. In this case, there were clearly qualified people that could take the jobs as they were already doing the job. But of course a little thing like the law isn't going to stand in the way of profits, so they found a loophole in the law that if they outsourced the IT department to another company, they could fire the U.S. workers and the outside company could hire the foreign workers.Dear Disney: PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GIVE YOU MORE MONEY.
Why is it so difficult for them to roll ANYTHING out????
I was able to get WDWToday to confirm that those with existing reservations WILL be able to use the upgrade option.
Even if you don't customize, they will ship gray ones automatically unless you decline them.Still only solid colors for me today (5/16), and now I am past my "customize by" date, and the info says "act quickly, your order may ship at any moment"
I'm still not customizing them though. I don't even want another set of the old solid colors, we can just use old ones if the new ones never load. But I hope by not customizing them, they do not ship any, so even if it rolls out much closer to our trip, there is still a chance we could get them (even if we have to pick them up when we arrive instead of having them shipped). I am encouraged by the "11 days before your trip" note in the announcement video. Our customize by date was yesterday, but 11 days before our trip is still almost 3 weeks away.
We normally avoid all the upcharges, but I'd pay $10 for this! In the past we've spent $5 a person buying decals, and these will look nicer and last better. I bet this is going to be popular. I'm surprised it took this long.
Can you decline and then request he customization closer to your trip and pick them up at the resort?Even if you don't customize, they will ship gray ones automatically unless you decline them.
