We're about to get our last trip on our AP. :hourglass

Next few trips will be at HH, DCL and VB so we really don't need to renew our APs.

Sooo, looking ahead we plan on a January WDW trip, then an April WDW trip so we'll get APs again that January. BUT, DD will turn 10 that March sooo... What happens?!? Can I buy a child's AP for her for the January trip and will they upgrade it to an adult AP for her in April? Will they charge us a prorated rate or what??? Anyone know?

Thanks!

i think its fine, as long as they are under 10 when you buy the ticket i would say it is no problem. however, i do not know the rules.

We are currently in that situation. My DS is now 11 and had his 10 year old child pass renewed April 2006. He turned 11 May 2006 and still uses this AP. He is very tall for his age and has not been questioned. We were told that it is the age at renewal that counts.

Once the child turns 10 take the pass to any park ticket window or Guest Services location. They will reissue it as an adult AP with the same expiration date at no charge.

Once your child has his annual pass he may keep trying to use it as-is until the end of its 12 month term; the CM's probably won't ask questions.

If he chooses to do a renewal while 10 years old the renewal rate for a 10+ (adult) annual pass will apply. (or is it 11 years old, I'm not sure.)
