April Weather?

Anyone know what the weather is generally in April? Is it more shorts weather or jeans weather? Also, how about rain...more chance or less chance? Trying to figure out what and how much to pack!

Hi EthansMom (and Molly's too),

I'm not sure if you mean the beginning or end of April. The average highs in early April are around 80 with lows in the upper 50s, but by the end of the month it averages mid-80s during the day and low 60s in the morning.

Last year the first week of April was cool, with highs one day stuck in the 60s and then only getting into the mid 70s for a few days afer that.

Normal rain for April in Orlando is less than 2.5 inches, so it's a relatively dry month.

Thanks Bob P, We'll be headed down for the last week of April, so will assume the weather is more likely to be on the warmer side. But I'll still pack a few jeans and sweatshirts for evenings.

We'll be there that week also, I've begun packing, mostly shorts and t shirts, and one pair of jeans and a sweatshirt (of course I'll be getting another - my usual souvenir!)

We've been at the World last week of April, first week of May in the past, and it can get chilly in the early mornings and in the evenings, but usually hot in the day.

I'm going then as well and have never been during that time. Looking forward to some nice sunshine after a long, cold new england winter!
