April vs August with a baby

April without a doubt! We took our DD for the 1st time in April and she was 7 1/2 months and she had a ball. It was much easier to travel with her during that time too.

We also took her for her 1st birthday that September and she was grumpy the entire time. She didn't like the heat at all and at that point she would only nap in her crib. At 7 1/2 months she would fall asleep anywhere and we could keep going. We did take an afternoon break regardless because even in April those afternoons in FL can still get warm and stickey!(especially toward the end of April)

If you are coming from Canada - April! It is hard to enjoy the parks with a hot miserable baby.

April because of the heat. But also because when he is a year he will pitch fits wanting to walk everywhere. You will spend more time walking after him and getting nowhere.
