April Trip ???

I asked on another board and got no response.

We are headed to WDW 1st week of April. Its is 2 weeks before NY spring break starts, not sure about other areas.

How is the weather in early April? Also does anyone know if there are any special events going on at this time??? Seems a little early for Grad nights and Cheer competitions, but you never know. I searched, but didnt come up with anything, so I am keeping my fingers x'sd that it will be a decent week to be there

We like to visit WDW during the week that surrounds April 20th, our anniversary, and we find it a wonderful time to visit. I know this is later than the time frame you asked about, but I wanted you to have at least one response.

The weather is very nice..... mid to low 80's and low humidity..... and the crowds are very manageable by our standards. As far as cheer competitions, it all depends on where you are staying. I haven't seen too many hanging out at a DVC resort.

You're well after the college "spring break" and you're before the spring breaks for the Northeast - so I think you're looking pretty good. We've done late March and had no issues with crowds - so enjoy!

You already got the low down on weather etc, so I'll tell you about the "special" events. Flower and Garden festival at Epcot usually is in May, but last year they started the end of March, so I would expect that to be in swing for your first week of April stay as well. We really enjoy the F&G festival.

We've done just about every month of the year but Feb and June.

Our favorite month for weather is April. The crowds have been bad. I'd say the shortest lines we've ever experienced were in the second week of December 2-3 years ago and also the week after Thanksgiving. It was a 5-10 minute wait for anything you wanted.

It's Spring Break somewhere when you are going. Fast passes for Soarin and Toy Story could be gone so get in early.

I know our local high school band will be there the week before you arrive. They are taking off from school for the trip, it's not their spring break.

The Epcot Flower/Garden show is awesome. We've been there a few times. I got to talk with that funny guy from HGTV Gardening by the Yard. He stayed at Wilderness Lodge.

Hopefully..I would actually LOVE to see the finished project. We were there over Presidents Week this year and they were starting everything.
