April or May 2016?

We recently had to cancel our trip for this November and want to reschedule for the spring. It is so hard trying to decide what's the best time based on school breaks and holidays. Which would be better mid April (two weeks after Easter) or first week of May? I know there probably isn't much difference but I thought I'd ask just in case I am missing something major that might make one week better than the other.
