We are so excited about visiting DL next year! I remember going as a kid and cannot wait to take my own kids there. :)

Which would be a better time to go, as far as lower crowds (both are in 2013)...last week of April or early December? The hours don't matter too much to me. We did WDW last December and LOVED the Christmas feel and very low crowds. But, April is sooner and I have a little boy dying to get to Cars Land.

Thank you! :goodvibes

I think it depends on when in April you are trying to go. Easter is 3/31/13, so you will have some Spring Break crowds in early April.

Definitely want to avoid Spring Break and Easter crowds. It would the last week of April, the 21-28.

We were there April 23-25 in 2012. Crowds were definately low for us. Typically the crowds will be lowest Tuesday - Thursday. If you want to see like F! and FW, you will want to extend to the weekend.

Anyone been there at both times that can help? Thank you :flower3:

I have been both during the early December period and around the time you would like to go in April. Since i live in CA, I frequent often. I don't recall early December being all that crowded, since early december is just after Thanksgiving at least to me it wasn't that bad at all! Tuesdays-Thursdays are the least busy even on off season, and the decorations at DL are phenomenal. I'm not sure if you are into characters, but last time i was there in early december i saw a few walking around quite freely (with their handler or whoever else walks with them) but I hear that happens rarely.

April is a good time to go too! Cars Land will be there no matter what month you go it depends on your preferences, have you gone to DL during the winter season before? It's one of my favorite times to go, depending on where your from it may be a bit cold (unless you get snow where you live, I'm told people think California's version of cold isn't that cold), April tends to get some rain (not always), and I have found that rides are closed less during the Christmas months.

I think there will be less crowds either way from your choices, maybe others can give their opinions too! They may have better opinions than mine. :)

Whatever time you decide, it'll be so fun! I hope you have a fun trip!

early dec... hands down.....it doesnt matter too much what part of April you go in...although its nice, its still during sprink break...and you cant beat dec. having all the christmas decorations, entertainment etc... WITHOUT all the crowds...kids are still in school...doesnt pick up till mid dec...then after that, its chaos until everybody goes back to school

:lmao:haha i know...we're spoiled...anything below 75 is freezing here :rotfl2:

Either should be great, we visited DLR in lateish April 2008 for my DS's B-day *4/20* crowds were low, Easter had been on 3/23 that year. We've been in early December twice, you might have to "deal" with CM parties *not a big deal IMO* and the Candlelight Processional, I've never visited the parks while that was happening.

It seems to me that no matter when Easter is a lot of Spring Breaks are in March, my kids Spring Breaks are always Easter weekend but for others it isn't.

Thank you! We live in Houston so I think the weather will be pretty much what we are used to....minus the 100% humidity. :thumbsup2

ah this is true ...however, last year, the cm parties were the 2nd week in dec. like the 12th and 13th i think it was and the parks close early...and the candlelight processional is the first weekend of dec. which makes it really crowded, which is why i always go during the week so if you can plan around those 2 things then you are totally fine:thumbsup2

We were just there in April (28-30).

The 28th & 30th since they were weekend days were very busy. the 30th (mon) it was dead. I think you should be fine if you go 21-28.
