I have a question and I know this is the place for answers! We will be at Disney World April 18-25. The 19th is EMH for Mk, and we are not staying at a Disney resort, so i wasn't planning on going to Mk that day, but the calandar says that MK will be closing Friday and Sat nights at 7pm!!! why??? During the following week it is open until at least 9pm! Now I don't know what to do because my family is not making it until Sunday to visit MK, but I dont want to leave at 7pm and not even see wishes or anything!! help!

ok, thank you!
so so you think it will draw people away from MK on that Friday and Sat, and that I should change my mind and actually go there, maybe the crowds will be more tolerable?

We were there around the same time this year. MK was closed at 7:00 on Friday and Saturday night for Senior night. From what we were told, the park is closed to everyone but FL high school seniors...sounded like it was a big graduation party :thumbsup2 ! I think it happens 2 or 3 weekends during April and May.

Luckily MGM had EMH's one of the nights we were there, and I think we hit DTD the other night!

WIC 0721- How were the crowds at that time? (stressing can u tell??)

It wasn't unbearable....it was crowded, but not to the point where you spent your day waiting in lines! My DH is a big believer of utilizing the EMH hours, so we went to the parks early every day, then went back to the resort in the afternoon, then back to the parks around 5:00 each night til closing! This is the second year in a row that we've gone the end of April, beginning of May...and more than likely, we will continue to go at this time of year!

we were there this past year at that exact time, and the one thing on that trip I didn't like was the grad nights. Not because what it did to the MK, but what it did to Epcot-----EPCOT WAS PACKED.

Other than the one Friday (we were there 2 weekends of grad nights), the crowds were manageable.

thank you so much!!!

No problem!!! :sunny:

Go and have a great vacation! (No more stressing :rotfl:)! And who knows, maybe we'll see you there...my DD (7) is already shaking her daddy down for another vacation there next year! :thumbsup2

We were there for Grad nights and had no problems. There were school groups around but they were all fun and well behaved. The only place we had a problem was in AK. The paths there don't handle big crowds well in the first place and the bridge from Asia to Dinoland was closed, trapping tons of people in Asia. It was a mess.
