April, May, June AP Watch. Let's Get it Started

I finally got off the phone with a CM. This poor CM was sooooo confused, I basically had to walk her through to what I wanted. She must be new.

Anyway, I was so happy....I was able to get an AP rate for our Contemporary stay from June 4th-June19th down to $166 w/tax!!!! I save $167 over the Disney Visa rate, not a lot but I will take it

I just found that the AP rate for Polynesian GV concierge is only $5 less than my Disney VISA rate--$325 for AP; $330 for DV (w/o tax) or $373.56 w/tax DV and $364 w/tax AP. Sadly for me (and after two calls and one and one-half hours on the phone), no rates for June 10-19, 2004.

Only availability was LV nonconcierge at $353 and change per/night. No thanks, I'll keep my GV concierge for $20 more per night! Usually even if there is no GV concierge, there's LV--not so for my week--sold out!

Oh well, at least I got a discount that isn't a whole lot more than the AP rate. It does have me rethinking the renewal of my AP though. . .

Best of luck to the rest of you. Oh, BTW, there was GV concierge available from 6/16 though 6/18/04--if anyone needs it.

The reservationist checked concierge across the boards for our week 6/10-19/04 and only found BWI standard concierge as being available. I knew we didn't want the BWI concierge or not, so I didn't have her check the rate--sorry! I guess it's going to be very busy at WDW, at least in all the concierge services.

Got an AP rate using code BCG for 74.00 + tax at the POFQ. Decided to go with a moderate and get 2 rooms, I hope my DD, the Drama Queen, appreciates her birthday present. Besides those little POFQ 'gators are just so darn cute!

Yippee!! I got the Beach Club concierge for $395 a night - about $50 more per night than I was going to pay for me regular room! When I called last week to check, the rate they gave me for BC concierge was over $500!

I'm so glad that I decided to wake up early! I got a Jr. Suite at the Contemporary for $222.05/nite (AP rate).

Oh hold now, want to apply new AP code to the room I got with the Visa code. Will they just keep the same reservation, but apply the new price to it? Or do I have to wait and see if there is a room still in the AP block of rooms held? How does it work?

There has to be an AP room available. I had a reservation at POR, but there were no APs there so I took FQ instead. Good luck!

I just picked up 2 rooms at PoFQ for May 22nd-29th at $74.00 pre tax per room per night. Very nice, just saved me $234.00 off the Disney VISA rate.

AP=Annual Pass

Even though we talk about "applying the AP rate" to our reservations, they can only do this if the number of rooms blocked off for AP discounts is available. You may have booked a room, but they will not apply a discount to your reservation unless they have not booked the number of AP rooms that they have alotted for your dates. You may or may not have a change in your reservation number when you "apply" a new discount to your reservation. Two of my resv #s stayed the same this am. and one changed. Not sure why...
