April/May 2005 - Better late than never report - Day 6

We picked up a smoothie for breakfast at Emack & Bolios and a doughnut, which I managed to eat all but one bite before getting to the checkout. Another short walk over to Universal Studios and first up for DH was The Mummy, this is a new ride for us, but again I waited patiently outside whist DH went on twice, he really enjoyed this and I am looking forward to trying it next year.

We then headed on Shrek, I love this ride it is so funny. Twister was next and then we went to Starbucks for some Frappachino and lemon cake that was gorgeous. It was very hot today so we then did Jaws and got splashed a little which was welcomed. I love Men in Black and we were able to do this twice with our front of line access in a short space of time. We saw the Beetlejuice show next again a first for us and we really enjoyed it. We decided to head out and back to the Hard Rock to spend the afternoon at the pool. It was lovely being waited on and we had some coconut smoothies and a non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri followed by some pizza and salad. The pool was busy although we had no problem in finding some loungers. After a shower and change we strolled back to Universal and walked around for a while, we did Terminator and then decided to head out and not stick around for Mardi Gras as nothing seemed to be happening for a while. We walked around City Walk and spent some more money in Quiet Flight and then after looking at all the choices available headed back to the Hard Rock Café…..this time we had burgers and watched some more music videos. Alan got a lovely T-shirt and pin in the shop before we strolled back to the HRH. We stopped by the pool and had a little game of table tennis before settling down for the evening.
