Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting but have been visiting this site for 2 years. I got so many great tips and information back when we took my children to Disney for the first time in 2000. I was so prepared it was scary..... This April we are doing the 7 day Land/Sea cruise and are staying at the WL. I am back at the boards to get all the information I can. Can you tell me what the WL is like and maybe what stateroom 6060 is like..

These boards are great, thanks.

I can't help you with the WL question because we did not stay there when we did the land/sea cruise last August but we had stateroom 7058 which is right above 6050 and this is what ours looked like, your shouldn't be different, actually we could see your balcony below ours.

The verandah was the absolute best thing in that room, we spent quite a bit of time there at nights.
Have a great time and enjoy your cruise, it's over before you know it!

Wilderness Lodge was very nice the last time we were at Disneyworld(around 97.) I'd imagine it's still in pretty good shape. It's considered to be one of the "deluxe" resorts (i.e., the rooms are all accessed by interior hallways, have balconies, and generally have more transportation options than the moderates; in this case, bus and boat . . . unfortunately no monorail) I think the Wilderness Lodge is considered to be the entry-level deluxe resort although I personally thought it was great, more casual feeling than some of the others.

We always stayed at the campground at Fort Wilderness, but would sometimes have friends staying at the Lodge. The rooms were very nice (I'm assuming they've aged well or have been rennovated) and I liked the whole feel of that HUGE lobby with the smokestack fireplace when you first walk in. Your kids will love the main pool area, one of the better pools IMO.

Plus, there's an absolutely fantastic restaurant there in the lobby, Artist Point. I had some of the best Surf and Turf I've ever had there, as well as a great lemonade cocktail. Even though we'll be staying at Port Orleans for our Land/Sea package we're definitely going to swing by the Lodge and Artist Point for dinner one night.

You might want to check the Disney Resorts forum. I'm sure there are tons of threads on the WL. It's one of the most popular resorts due to its deluxe status and just-above moderate price.
