Woohoo! The rates finally dropped:

For my Dates April 27 AM to May 9 PM through EA National I got a 2 week rental for $190 before taxes -- total $260. It's been hanging around $400 forever. (Actually Alamo dropped too, but perfer National).

I used codes 5007125 and coupon ND2119071Q

(I tried to use the new one going around -- 8572987 -- and the rate is $385, so if you're using that one, you need to check some other codes because your rate may be lower if you're picking up in April.)

I have a mid-size with Alamo.....4/22 (11am) to 5/1 (12pm) with the Walmart 430710 contract code and ad3829adr internet coupon code for $155.40. I keep checking my rate to make sure I did everything right....it is as low as I have seen it for this timeframe.

Picking up 4/19 in Tampa @ 11AM and dropping off in St. Pete on 4/27 @ 11AM. I used Wal Mart code and Entertainment Book coupon and have a rate of $289.77 with all tax included.

Unfortunately, these rates have come and gone. I am doing the leg work checking and checking, but I am paying more then anyone. Oh well, still it is a rate I can live with.

I booked a standard SUV with Alamo for 4/23-5/1 (8 days) for $231.50 (including all taxes/fees) at the end of January, using the Entertainment book code and free day coupon.

At the time, I thought it was high and just booked it to have something, figuring the rates would come down as we got closer. But the same reservation right now is $316!! Yikes!

You got some great rates there. I've been looking for last few months and have found nothing as great as these.

I've been watching hotwire and today tried priceline - bid $14 for a midsize 4/19-4/25 and it was accepted. Total cost with taxes and fees $121.56 - 6 days for the same price you got for 8 days, but as you said, it's something I can live with. We'll miss EA, but National hasn't given me great prices lately.

I got it from mousesavers as an good code -- Mary generally only list codes that she knows works or notes what is required. This is how it's listed on her site. I've used it before with no problem.
