April bugs?

Do we need to take bug spray to the parks in April?

We were there in early April last year and I don't remember having any bug problems at all. We definately didn't pack or use bug spray. Not sure if that is the norm or what, but that was our experience.

We are at one of the parks almost weekly, and have never needed bug spray. I would think if you were staying in the campground, or doing one of the outdoor activities (fishing, boating, golfing, etc.) you would need it though.

I am glad you posted it though, because I have wondered why I keep seeing bug spray listed as a must have. Maybe we have just been lucky?

Been going to the parks since 1971 and have never gotten a mosquito bite while there.
