Any suggestions for a quick weekend trip to WDW, this will be the first trip as DH & DW only. NO kids!!! We have the behind the scenes tour booked for one day, but were wondering if there is something other couples do at WDW that we would not want to miss. Is the weather nice enough for shorts? (April 23-25).

The weather should be fine for shorts.
I would suggest the Cirque du Soleil, my husband and I loved going to see the show.

We did the resort crawl and took the transportation system to most of the resorts and rated their Margarita's while sitting poolside. Had a lot of laughs and great drinks! June it will be parks and character dinning! Those are fun too.

I've only been a father for 10 months and I want to give my daughter everything and take her everywhere. At this stage I guess I don't get this concept yet. Maybe someday I'll understand.

BTW...We'll be there the at the same time...with our daughter :thumbsup2

We like to eat at Artist Point and stroll hand in hand around the resort at night. We also have joined other families and taken a Wishes Cruise from WL's dock.

Bobbi:goodvibes

My wife and I love to take our time and do the countries at EPCOT and do a nice dinner. My favorite is Spatan on tap in Germany:cool1:

EPCOT is the perfect place to just stroll around and take in everything you can't with the kids. Not sure how much time you have but we love to do it with the other parks too. Not sure where you are staying but BW area is perfect location for adult only trip. Enjoy!

If you're up for another tour, I did the Epcot Segway tour and it was SO much fun. And my dh did the shorter Segway training thing they do in Innoventions and loved that too. Segways are so much fun!

I agree about taking one of the Segway tours. There are actually 3 to choose from...short Epcot tour, long Epcot tour (called nature by design), and the Fort Wilderness tour. We have done all of them, and our favorite was the Fort Wilderness one.

Diane, I so want to try out the Ft. Wilderness one, glad you liked it that much. The Epcot one was such a blast.

Thanks for the suggestions! As for not having the kids with us, they are both teenage girls and will be going with us in June. My DH & I have always gone somewhere for a short vacation for just adult time, a way to re-connect with each other(many times after tax season is done for me, I am a CPA and put in many extra hours from January to April). Once the kids come life seems to be all about them(as it should be), but the parents need to remember that they need time to be together to keep that marriage going strong. We have been married for almost 22 years so something must be working:confused3:hug:

Wait until she becomes a teenager.

I agree 1000%! DH & I have taken lots of trips without the kids- where we focus on each other and not on them, which is pretty much what life with kids is. It really does help us reconnect, and remember why we fell in love in the first place (we'll be married 24 years in June and fwiw, DH is a CPA, too).

We just went this past fall to WDW without them- we golfed (although DH golfed with them in November, too), went to the spa, ate at V&A's...did anything we could think of that would not be possible with our boys in tow. Have a great time!! We did!! So much so we are going again this September! :thumbsup2

We just returned from an Adults Only trip. It was the 1st one in 3 years. We had such a relaxing trip. I would highly recommend going to the lounge at the California Grill. We did not have reservations and asked if we could go to the lounge. It was great! Not crowded at all and I swear they have the best drinks in all of WDW. We just had a light dinner and drinks. Epcot was great as always. Getting to stroll the countries without the kids is always fun. Have a great time.

Dh and I went to WDW a few months before dd3 was born. We knew that it would be a while before we had time alone again, and we had extra points we needed to use up. We went for 3 nights, and it was like a second honeymoon. I'm fretted about it for months, but it was so worth it. (Our dds were 5 and 3 at the time, and loved spending time with both their cousins for a night and grandma for the other two nights).

We had a great time walking around the boardwalk, spending time at EPCOT, and going on rides that dds normally don't like. (At least dh did as I was pregnant and couldn't do some of them).

Enjoy your trip. WDW is a blast without the kids.

It's great to hear that other couples have found that WDW can be a good place to go. I am really looking forward to just having a relaxing time and doing some of the things we normally do not get to do when the kids are with us. Everyone has had such great suggestions for us...Thanks!!:flower3:
