Hi all! We went this past April the week before Easter and of course it was a zoo! We hated it - now don't get me wrong we LOVE DL and have been spoiled going during very low seasons in the past. We knew it would be busy but being more experienced at WDW didn't realize the space issues and outside q'ng problems that occur. Anyway we are considering next April since Easter is so much earlier. Will it still be crazy busy?

The last couple weeks of March thru the 3rd week of April will be busy. YOu would want to plan either early March or very late April to avoid the crowds.

If you travel around Easter, you inevitably hit the Spring Break crowds (we did last year at WDW). Spring Break in CA depends on the school districts -- each one has their own "time" for Spring Break. However, generally the week before Easter and the week after are the most common, with the biggest crowds. The weeks surrounding those 2 weeks also see lots of vacationers, with ususally less people the farther you get from Easter weekend.

We've spent SB at DLR before and were told the week before was more crowded than the week after (it was still really crowded) but that changes from year to year. On the plus side, since the schools choose different weeks (still usually all in May), it's not as crowded as Xmas when everyone has the same week off.

If you really want low crowds, I would avoid school holidays and 3-day weekends, although for those of us with children, that's really hard to do.
