Well if you peeked at the TR, you have a little background on us. Here's a bit more.
I moved to Atlanta in 1993 for a job. I grew up in NJ. I moved to MD for undergraduate, and back to NJ and then to LA for graduate school (that's bayous, not movie stars

). I started my first career as a computer science professor at Clark Atlanta University. I had a definite interest in the areas of information systems and societal impact, so I decided to broaden my understanding by attending some law school classes.
DW also move here for a job, but in 1994. She grew up in Minnesota, and then moved to north Florida. She was starting her career teaching mathematics at Gainsville College. Soon after moving to Atlanta, we met on a singles white water rafting trip on the Ocoee. We floated down the river together, and that was it.
We got married not too much later and bought a house in Duluth. DW's position at Gainsville College was only a one-year position, so after that, she took a position at a private high school in Atlanta where she worked until DD9 was born in June of 1997.
Based upon my growing interested, I ended up enrolling in the night program at GA State's College of Law, so I'm familiar with the downtown campus. I was pretty much on one side of the class in the day and the other at night. I completed the law program in 1999. During the 1998-9 time frame, I had also reached a frustration limit with university administration. At that point, I made the choice to switch to my second career - law, and my journey to the dark side was complete.

I've been practicing law in the intellectual property area ever since. In the late 90s, we moved into Sandy Springs so that my commute downtown would not be quite so long. I've been with several firms of various shapes and sizes, and I've finally settled down into a small firm with two partners that I met while at other firms.
We have three children. They will be 5, 8 and 10 when we get to the cruise. DD7 and DD9 have both lived there entire lives here in Atlanta. DD5 lived his first two years in Guatemala and the rest here in Atlanta.
I can't say that I'm terribly into sports. I enjoy going to games occasionally, and I have been here long enough that I root for the Braves rather than the Mets or Yankees.
In terms of hobbies, I'm still a bit of a computer enthusiast. I enjoy building and tinkering with them. When each of my DDs turned 7, we scrounged through my spare parts collection and as a project built each of them a computer. I plan to do the same with DS5 when his turn comes along. I guess I pretty much fall into the Geek category.
Sorry for the biography... I kind of got on a roll and went with it.
