We were already excited about next year's Spring Break cruise when Disney announced the kids eat free deal.

So now we're doubly excited! (At least Mom and Dad are!) Anyone else booked yet? We're in Cabin 7564.

We are booked! So excited as it will be our first cruise! I just realized though that 4/4 is Easter...

We just booked our first Disney Cruise! And it motivated me to (finally) emerge from Disboard lurk-dom!

Dh, myself, dd6 and dd3 are booked in stateroom #6014 - oceanview.

We just also booked this excursion today! Myself and husband, and two boys ages 4 and 6. Can't wait - April can't get here fast enough. :)

Hi Everyone! I am SOOOO excited. We did a 7 day DCL Western in 2008 and it was great! We've wanted to go back but the $$$$$ was keeping us at WDW instead. I'd been tossing around a spring break cruise even though we'd already booked a week at WDW. I was going to talk to my DH today about doing a shorter cruise instead of WDW then I discovered the "kids sail free" deal and I knew it was destiny!!! Just finished booking--I swear it took forever. The rooms kept disappearing on me but we're on deck 5. Really wanted forward Deck 2 (where we stayed last trip) but everything must be booked. Sorry I'm rambling--just so excited. Now I have to keep this wonderful secret from my kids, DS 12 and DD 7 who have been begging to Disney Cruise since the last one. Just can't wait! :yay: Our last DCL cruise was Easter too. Welcome everyone!! :woohoo:

Paid our deposit today to secure the room! Woohoo! And I also changed the room...6512 now. At least the cruise is mostly sold out now (as far as I can tell from availablitly on the website) so I can stop second guessing myself on what stateroom I want! ;)

We booked soon after we saw the deal for the kids cruise free . Today I have been looking and this cruise is almost sold out, only a hand full of rooms left. Today I'm also looking for shore excursion and I think we will do the sea loin one but we will book it directly with the tour operator. This way it will save us a little bit of money.:cool1::yay:

I have already book our room for the Radisson. :goodvibes Time waits for no man. With this cruise filling up fast ,we got to jump on low rates when you see it.We plan to be one of the first to board the Wonder. This will be like an extra day for the kids.:wizard:

With 8 disney trips under our belt, we are trying a Disney Cruise for Spring Break! Would love any suggestions- Cruising with our 3 kids- 9, 6, 1 yr!

Hi Everyone! I just realized that a post I wrote yesterday never made it to the boards! :confused3 You will all be my sounding board for the next 209 days--the only other person who knows about this trip is my DH and he doesn't share my enthusiasm for wanting to talk about it 24:7. :rotfl:

My kids--DS 12 (who will turn 13 while we're on the cruise!) and DD 7 will be ecstatic when they find out. I'd like to keep it a secret until the day we leave WDW to drive to port! They already know we are going to WDW for the week so I don't need to hide the fact we are making a trip. They have been begging to go on a DCL cruise since our last one in March 2008. The kids sail free deal sealed the deal! (Plus I wasn't really excited about spending Easter week at WDW--busy!)

We are staying in room 5518. It looks like many of you are 1st time DCLers. Anyone interested in doing "fish extenders"? If you don't know what they are, look them up on the first page of stickies under "DCL FAQ - New Alphabetical Listing of DCL Information". We did them on our last cruise and it was kind of fun. We certainly have some time to decide!

Thanks for listening and sharing your excitement! :grouphug:

OOOHHHH!!!! Fish extenders sound like lots of fun! I would love to participate!

FE's sound like fun! Count us in!

We are first time DCLers, but have been to WDW many many times. Even the 2 year old has been 4 times in her life - and we live in Ohio! :) Unfortunately I don't think we'll be doing any WDW days as part of this trip. But I still have 6 months to change my dh's mind! ;)

My DD is 7 years old today and including the days we'll go to WDW before the cruise she will have been to WDW 8 times--my son will have 9 trips under his belt! (We live in IL--so it's not close either!)

Our spring break starts April 1st--so we're squeezing in a few days before the cruise. We'll need our WDW "fix" by then.

We've been to WDW so many time, at least 15 in the past 7 years, but this is our first Disney cruise. We are so excited!!! They price has always kept us away, but with the "kids sail free" promotion we took the plunge. I have 2 DDs will 9 and 12 at sailing. See you all there!!!

Happy birthday to your dd! And way to go on the frequent WDW visits! :thumbsup2

Our Spring Break also starts on the 1st. We just booked our flights today (we had enough freq. flyer miles!!! But using them also means we'll have to do a layover. boo!). We are flying in on Friday the 2nd and back on Friday the 9th. I have talked dh into *maybe* a day at a park on the Saturday before the cruise. *crossing fingers* At the least we will be staying at a Disney resort on either end of the cruise and just relaxing/enjoying the pool/hotel. What do you think the chances of Disney putting out some room-only discounts around Easter???

Does anyone know if DCL will do anything special on Sunday since it is Easter?

Oooo! I just thought of a cool way to surprise the kids with the cruise (if we can actually hold out that long)! What if the Easter bunny left a special note or boat/clue in the Easter basket for the kids on Sunday morning? Hmmmm...I might just have to think about this...

We were on the Disney Magic for Easter in 2008--that was a 7 day trip and we had boarded the day before Easter. For this cruise we board the ship on Easter so I doubt there will be much "Easter stuff". The "white rabbit" did appear as a character that day. There were religious services in the morning at 7am & 9am (but we won't be on the ship yet then). There were a few Easter crafts in the kids areas. There was a special Easter egg sculpture in the dining room. But nothing was really Easter themed much at all.

I LOVE your idea about the "cruise" in the Easter basket. That is a really big IF though about keeping it quiet until that morning. Oh how I wish I can keep my excitement contained until then--but I don't know if I will be able to stand it!

Still so excited and have been on the boards every day since booking! I have read all the fish extender posts and am so excited about this! If no one else wants to organize this, I would be more than willing to (although its my first time so go easy!).

Airfare right now is prohibitively expensive (spring break!) so we may be driving from Michigan. Would love to fly down and spend the day before and after just relaxing though.

It s still early and swa has not release their spring fares yet. When their fares come out,the others may drop their fares. The entertainment book has some codes for AA that will lower your cost.

Hi Everyone! We are booked too! :banana:This is our first cruise, and I know I will have lots of questions! Especially because, like some others of you, I am trying to keep this a secret from the rest of my family - at least until Christmas! There will be four of us, me, DH, DS15 and DS10. We have only been to WDW a few times, but we love all things Disney, and this is something my boys have wanted to do for a long time! (Well, at least since my youngest found out he can have pizza 24/7 on a cruise):yay:
