April 30 or May 7

Hello! I was trying to figure out if the Main Street Electrical Parade is cancelled due to wind, and ended up here. I'm a So Cal resident who's main priority is the MSEP. We'd planned to go April 30, but when I woke up today (the 29th), the wind is powerful. Do they cancel due to wind?

While I'm asking, please compare April 30 or May 7 for me - is one going to be substantially more crowded? If the winds are an issue, I might suggest moving to next weekend. But with everyone healthy and ready, I don't want to take a chance of something weird happening mid-week to make the May date bad.

Not sure about the parade but the winds are supposed to taper off after midnight tonight.

I've never heard of the parade being cancelled because of wind. It can be cancelled for rain, but never heard it happening for just wind. As above poster mentioned, the wind advisory expires late tonight anyway.

Wait until next weekend. It's SO hot and dry and it will still be like that tomorrow. Next weekend has a more favorable weather forecast.
