I didn't say I preferred DL over WDW, just the opposite actually, but it really was a wonderful surprise and I think shouldn't be overlooked if you are close by.

We visited DL in 2008 after Panama WB.

You really have to resist comparisons with WDW, however hard. We have been going to WDW since 1980 and this was our first trip to DL. Totally blown away, totally different experience. Will we fit in some days there next year? Oh yes!
Will it spoil our enjoyment of WDW - never.

I will always prefer WDW for a variety of reasons and it is so much more of a destination in itself. I don't think I fancy the other parks and have no desire to bo(other than DL again of course). Though, we have been to Disneyland Paris, but didn't like it too much. I guess that was more to do with where it is, some of the people working there, the smoking everywhere, and the inability of some folk there to understand what a queue is! The castle is the most beautiful of the 3 I have seen though.

Feel I need to put tick marks against each and every comment on Disneyland Paris. Never before seen men whistling at Minnie Mouse :eek: (while still smoking)

AMEN!!! Ain't that the truth! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Monica...I saw that you mentioned in a quote of Erik & Jason's post that Club 33 is on your bucket list....it too was on my bucket list and I was able to cross it off on Easter Sunday....remember...dreams do come true....I hope someday you will get the same opportunity I got and are able to dine at Club 33...it truly is a once in a lifetime experience and a day I will never ever forget.

Thanks for explaining Linda. My DH bought me a circut 3 years ago because I wanted one..........haven't even taken it out of the box.:sad2: My goal by cruise time is to learn how to use it and actually use it. I know I am missing out on some great stuff not using it but feel overwelmed with it.

Tina

forgive me for replying so late to your post but I'm trying to get caught up on this thread after being on the Repo/Alaska cruise and then without internet for a week (:scared1:)....with respect to your Cricut....take it from me....step away from the Cricut box...DO NOT open it....once you do, you will be addicted....take it from me...I got my Cricut Create just over a year ago...and I now have 75 catridges.....

OOHHHH!!! :crazy2: :jumping1: <--the closest smileys to show me being GREEN with envy :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Thanks for your comments :goodvibes I do have hope   (I am not below bribing someone either)

We did Disneyland Paris in 1996 long before the Studios were open so we didn't experience that. It was November and I remember saying how weird it was to be at a Disney Park and it was snowing. I like DLP and would go back in a heartbeat.

Did DL and CA in May 2007. After numerous trips to WDW it was really weird. Magic Kingdom is so small but cute. Amanda kept saying it seems so familar but different if that makes sense. We are adding extra days to the cruise vacation so that we can do them again. In 07, we stayed at the Disneyland hotel and it was magical. I wouldn't mind staying there again. I remember at check it, the CM member traded me 5 Disneyland ink pens for 1 of my many WDW pens that I always take from FL. He was so excited to get them. How could I say no?

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

My new computer comes today, so I am an extra happy gal :)

DL is smaller, but there are some things there I really love - the Pooh ride is so much better - It's a small world even outside the ride is a visual feast - the Storybook boats - Toontown - love the monorail and the train - Mr. Toad's wild ride is short but cute - and the "Alice" ride vehicles are a hoot.

Now, my question is - before or after? After or before?

Happy Day, all!

I have to agree with what everyone said about DL and DLP! Disneyland Tokyo and Hong Kong are also on my bucket list!

Happy Day, all!

We are going to do ours before, but only a couple days. I for sure want to get to LA at least the day before we cruise, because I sure don't want to depend on the airline to get me there the day of the cruise. Maybe, before and after..Have a day at DL before to get geared up for the cruise, and a day at DL after to wind down from the cruise!.. There are so many decisions to make!..

We are going to come in on Saturday and leave Tuesday as I don't think there will be any flights I can make on Monday.

Happy Day, all!

We are hoping to go to DL for 3 or 4 days after the cruise. We absolutely hated to fly back the same day that we arrived in Los Angeles after the Panama Canal Cruise.

I too hate flying the day we get off the ship. That's why I am waiting till the Tuesday after we get off the Magic in Oct. to fly home.

When we get off the Wonder in October, we still have a vow renewal, Mickey's Halloween Party and 4 nights at Grand Californian to look forward to.

For our Eastern in Oct. We are going to WDW for 9 nights (we will be there for WDW 40th anniversary with dinner in the castle on the 40th) then 7 nights on the Magic, then 3 more nights at WDW.
