Hi All,

We're in, booked yesterday but didn't have a chance to post.

Looks like this is going to be another reunion cruise with many friends.

After celebrating our 20th on the 1st Med we wondered what we might be able to do for the 25th. Guess we don't need to "Wonder" anymore, nice of DCL to let us celebrate on a cruise to Hawaii.

Can't wait to cruise with everyone (including all those we'll be seeing in only a few short weeks).

I am at a conference and was reading our 2008 WBPC thread while a presenter was setting up when I discovered Monica's post that gold and platinum could book Thursday. I used my break time to call DCL and when the session resumed I stood in the back of the room with Beauty and the Beast soundtrack playing in my Bluetooth. When DCL -Paula came on I ducked out and did the deed. We got a gty 11C. THANKS MONICA !!

I met Tom for lunch and showed him the confirming e-mail on my I-phone!!

Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and being part of Champagne Girls with the ORIGINATORS Deb and Mandy from the WBPC 2008 MAGIC cruise.

Yes, big thanks to Monica! We'd talked to our TA about switching to Hawaii (or Galveston if it happened but Hawaii didn't) last year... but then I didn't hear about it until I saw Monica's post on FB! Thank goodness for Monica so I could get our names in pronto with TA! LOL

I just paid my deposit!! I can't believe I am going to go on a 2 week cruise!! This will be the first time I will be leaving my kids (will be 9, 7 and 4 at cruise time) since Dh died back in Oct of '08. Right now, the room is booked for me and a friend but she won't know if she can go until her parents get back from vacation to ask if they can help watch her 3 kids. If she can't go, I will go by myself which will be a huge stepping stone for me. I have never traveled anywhere alone. Starting dating Dh at 17, married at almost 24 and was 31 when he passed away. We always did everything together and now here I am getting ready to embark on this adventure without him. Yikes!! So I am a mixture of feelings!

Oh I'm so glad you're coming! Even if you go by yourself- you will NOT be alone.... you'll be with us! And some of us have party pooper and/or early to bed husbands.... so yeah.. some of us kinda sorta by ourselves too. ;-)

No thanks...I'm too excited about cruisin' to Hawaii...and crossing another item off my bucket list!!!! I think I might need to create a new one soon since it looks like between this year and next I will be able to cross quite a few things off my list!!!!!

Well I have a little bit of a glitch in changing/adding to my sig line.... glitch on the end of putting pics on my webspace to then put it in my sig line! I had smartFTP for quite some time now- and used that... and it had my password already in it. Well now they want me to buy it and so I tried to do it thru charter without it and it's asking password and I've tried every one I can think it would be... and none are working (even the one I have written down as the password- so IDK why that's not working) so........yeah...... if I can't get the pic on my webspace I can't put it on my sig here! I'll have to call Monday and figure out what's up with that. LOL

An answer from someone who really knows:

...It all happened quite naturally....we were chatting on the disboards one day and went to get a cup of coffee and wished that we could be sharing the coffee together. Then we both decided that if it was going to be a little party, we should ditch the coffee and go for the champagne. We chatted about how we are both girly girls and love pink. That's how it all started. We said we would love to do a DCL Champagne Girls tasting with only Ladies and everyone wearing pink and tiaras. We would take a picture and put it in a pink frame above the bar. Then we were delighted to find out that we had a mascot.....Sassy Bubbles.....who comes dressed as a pink tink. (Sassy will be on this sailing with us!!! YEAH!!!!)

It all kind of snowballed from there and I'm so very flattered that it did. I think it's great that everyone wants to keep it going. I even think PINK on the Dream was named after us. Hahaha.

This is definitely going to be the BEST and most special Champagne Girls EVER!!! CHAMPAGNE GIRLS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

I know we were told 2/14/12 on the phone, which is the 75 day mark, and DCL usually does do earlier for special cruises. JANUARY 1, 2012 is actually the 120 day mark, and that seems like the more logical date. December 1 is like 151 days....seems strange.
