Well we did not make it home today. The drive from VA north was long and rainy. We did not get an early start because it was raining too hard so we waited until around 8:30. We then had two hours of driving in the hard rain. By 5 we were both tired and after driving 400 miles my husband called it a day. We have about 150 or so miles to go tomorrow so it should be an easy day. At least we will get home in the daylight and hopefully in the sunshine. Don't like this cold weather.

I don't have any experience with Gradysmommy but it can't hurt to contact her and ask. I heard she is very nice so I would be surprised if she didn't put on the pocket for you.

What are the odds that a concierge room will open between now and sail time? One was open a few weeks ago and I really wanted to change my 5B to the concierge room. My TA was out of town so I told myself that if it is still there when she got back (a few days from that point) then it was meant to be. How foolish was I!! Of course it was gone the morning she got back to me. Now I am kicking myself. I know people would lost their deposit if they cancel so are my chances slim and none??

There is always a chance. On our 2008 PC cruise someone was offered the Walt or Roy only a few weeks out. I think that was going to be $10,000 more, so the did turn it down!!! I think you can be on a wait list.

You should have a much easier time of it today - Radar is showing no storms on the east coast until you get way down east - much further than y'all need to go. Safe Journey!

I'm off to the gym and then home to unpack from the trip we didn't take. My b-i-l was going to have brain surgery Monday but now instead, he's having a triple by-pass today and the brain surgery in a month. Since they're river'd in, we decided to wait to go for the other surgery.

We had GTY rooms on our Med Cruise in 2007 and they were assigned about 30 days prior to sail date. I think that is about average..

We have been GTY several times and 30-45 days has been our experience.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Sun is shining but omg it's only 37 degrees F in upstate New York this morning. I think i'll wait until it warms up a bit before I go outside to work in the yard!

So many things are blooming - snowdrops, narcissus, daffodils, grape hyacynth, ornamental pear, azaleas, magnolias and crabapples. I need to store them all up in my memory bank because NEXT year, we'll be cruising!
