I just called Candy Cane Inn and they have ressies until the end of 2012 2 nights with a standard room was $325 with 48 hours cancel policy. No AAA rate yet. They also have small Breakast too. I am saving my DVC points and staying here.

I apologize if this is clear to everyone but me but BibbidyBobbidyBoo, are you taking responsibility for updating the first page of the thread and working with the DISboards when we are ready to close this thread and start a new one?
Maybe one thing we could have on the first page is a list of DISboard activities we would like to share on this cruise and note if an organizer has volunteered yet, and a backup. I apologize if I missed anything or have any of them wrong or incomplete, but here is what I remember reading about:

I would love to be a part of the lanyard team.

I'm just not sure what we are doing prior to the cruise. I am hoping to have a couple of days at DL but not sure where we will stay. I really need to get on it so that I know what we can sign up for here like transportation. I am headed to Cozumel for 11 days soon and when we get back I will definitely start plans for this trip. I have been named the cruise director by our DISfriends for all of our cruises so I have to take into consideration another 8 to 10people. Sometimes that title isn't easy, LOL.

I agree. My email will include all the items, but I’m cruising to visit Hawaii, and I’d like as much time there as possible.

I've been joking and saying that I might have to quit my job next year to do this cruise if I don't get my time off approved....but I might have to quit earlier since keeping up with this thread is going to be a full time job all by itself! :lmao:

I’m also struggling with remembering where I read to last – so I’m probably missing pages. So, I’m apologizing upfront to anyone I may not have replied to, I probably missed that page! Not to mention all the planning and activities already going on. :eek:

The Charter Broomstick from DL to Port is up. This is good for area hotels too, unless I find out otherwise. This far out, it's mostly academic but I'll start asking questions now and post the info on this thread.

I modified the Palo Brunch Spreadsheet -- added a column for number of people in the party. Please, if you signed up, go ahead and add that information. If we are looking to book the private room, they only allow 14 at a time, so we may have to book several brunches (we do have 9 days at sea!). I guess we should decide if we want the private room or just a huge section of the restaurant.

The Grass & Flannel shirt is for the sail away party....
it is very fun and alot of the CM are on board as well

Definitely can do a Grass Skirt Fraternity for the sail away, no Flannel Shirts on this one as we are heading to warmer climates.

Hawaiian Shirts are a definite match for the Grass Skirts , there is also a T available and other stuff on a Cafe Press site, no profit made but may change that to donate a $1 per item to a Charity that I will be riding for i.e. MS or American Cancer Society

The way I worked it was that most people printed at home, I only brought 20 hard copies with me due to luggage space / weight limits. The file in PDF format was available on Goggle Docs so people could always check it, even on the cruise (well, when the internet was on...which was not always the case in the middle of the Atlantic).

Let me know if that sounds reasonable. :confused3

My suggestion is that whoever is taking lead on this fax in request now for the private dining room for at least a couple of days. They honor those requests on a first come basis. You cannot reserve a large section of the restaurant. You would just have to have everyone interested try to book for the same day, same time and then coordinate seating all in the same area with Palo once onboard.

Same for Palo dinner is there is interest in a group doing the private room. Pick the night and request now.
