I don't think you will be able to leave your car at WDW. The resorts issue a parking pass and have the dates that you are staying.

part of my lack of participation on-board is that DH works 12 hour days at the office and more at home. He wants me all to himself on a cruise and I am thrilled with that. So, except for saying HI to DISers we are alone-together on the trip.

another part is that we live in a small condo so severely limit souviners as it is and would have no place to put Fish Extender gifts

and lastly--luggage space to bring gifts and take them home.....

But I love chatting here, getting ideas and sharing info!

Thanks for quick responses. I tried to book our before & after rooms through DCL and was told I couldn't book yet as they didn't have 2012 rates. Think I'll try again tonight.

Hey folks...another thought, too.....I am NOT on facebook. (For a variety of personal & political reasons I've opted just not to create an account or use that site at all)....but I know that lots of others are...and I think I even heard there might be a facebook group for this cruise, right? If so....and there are DISers who maybe utilize that site more than here....make sure they know how to get lanyards for the trip!

I have posted a link to one of your previous posts with instructions on how to get a lanyard on the Facebook page.

So far there are three, right?
Lilo and Stitch under palm trees
their faces on a banner that many are using in their signatures
this new one which has a link to Vista Print ordering

this would help when ordering time or magnet making time rolls around so people don't have to hunt through all the threads.

We took a HAL cruise to Alaska last year and they have a great laundry deal. They leave a laundry bag in your room and you can stuff it as full as possible and it's only 20.00. I sure wish DCL would catch on to that.

We did not look when on the DREAM last week but they used to have a laundry list and bag in the stateroom. You would include a list of items in the bag and figure the cost that way.

Re: map of cruise: on our WBPC in 2008 someone asked Captain Thord when the itinerary had been changed because the map of our route did not match the website, souvenirs or postcards.

Captain Thord said that the route was not changed but that map were designed by Marketing and they did not ask the Captains about the route.

......sorry I have not been around here much. I just finished the LA/Alaska and had the greatest time. We did a Champagne Girls tasting on the Alaskan, but it was our only rough sea day. We had 18' swells and everyone was feeling it. I was fine until I drank some champagne, then I lost my cookies. That wasn't going to work. So we had fun, but it was short and sweet. Most ladies left early. We will make up for it in Hawaii. We'll be wearing pink leis and pink flowers in our hair. I can't wait!!

BTW, I'm way back on page 73. I'm catching up!!
