Sorry about not having power, that stinks !! Hope you get it back soon.:wizard: I would think they would have a deck party for Cinco De Mayo. I could be wrong.

I bet they do !! :rotfl2: Can't wait for this ! :woohoo:

I didn't know they didn't take care of the luggage. Hoping they change this by April. I still need to figure out transportation from port to airport. Might get the transfer one way.

Sounds like fun.

Since our younger son, Michael will be working in Palo Alto when we cruise, I think we are going to go out to San Francisco a few nights before the cruise and take the Amtrak train to LA from SF. It sounds like it's just a day trip and the scenery will be great. I expect we will stay at a hotel near the port the night before.

I also think we will rent a car when we are in Hawaii, because the excursions aren't really handicapped accessible, and we are in the US, I think we will be better off just doing our own thing. Although I would like to go to a luau through Disney. perhaps we can do our own transportation, and just book the meal and entertainment thru Disney.

We did Amtrak from Vancouver to Seattle after our Alaska cruise. We loved it! It was so beautiful. Going from San Fran to LA should be even nicer. I would go for it.

We are staying at the Doubletree in San Pedro the night before the cruise. Lots of us are and we're meeting for cocktails. Consider staying there and meeting up with all of us. There is a group rate available.

OK, this has to be the Champagne Girls motto:

GET YOUR 'PINK' ON!

.

Thanks Jacks.....I added it to my signature!

As we get closer to April, let me know if I can get you any info on activities in or about San Francisco. There are a lot of 1/2 off opportunities available a few weeks before a specific date; touring and theater events. April is also a lovely time to visit the wine country, an hour from the city. If you son is not available to take you around during the day, maybe we can be of help.

Speaking of the group rate, what do we need to do to secure a room? I would like to get this part of our trip nailed down. I have the cruise PIF, and am waiting for Southwest to come out with the April/May schedule. If I could tackle this room thing it would be great to get it out of the way!:dance3:

Since I didn't want to make a gallon... I experimented and came up with this ;)
2 oz tequila
1 oz triple sec
4 oz pineapple juice ( I happened to have that on hand.. I'm sure it would be much better with fresh)
Blended it with about 3/4 cup of ice and it made quite a tasty drink!

Considering all the hullabaloo (sp?) over the DCL alcohol policy... there was no mention in any of it about hard liquor... just beer wine and champagne... hmmmm... does that mean I can bring all the tequila and rum that I want?? :thumbsup2

That does sound good, but very bad things happen when I drink Tequila, so I am out.
Now the curiosity starts nagging at me. Is this "dance on the tables" bad :dance3: or "kneeling at the porcelain altar" bad.

You know the saying:
One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Floor. For me it is Tequila= floor plus the Porcelian Alter. It really is not a good thing.
