This week really is like Christmas. Yesterday I got my gorgeous shirts. Today my earrings from Hokey Donut arrived and a bunch of supplies for the extra Fish Extender gifts I am working on. The earrings are adorable.

One of the shirt and one pair of earrings are probably getting a trial run on Friday. We have the launch of the new branding at work then and we are supposed to come dressed in either national dress or in vacation-related fancy dress. I can't do the national dress so I will go with a Hawaii theme. I was hoping that my sun dresses will be here in time, but customs is still holding them hostage. So I thought I would get a grass skirt and a lei from a local fancy dress shop and pair this with the Hawaiian shirt and one of the pairs of earrings.

Thanks for the info. The last time I was in Hawaii Scrappers Friend had a store on Oahu but I think its no longer there (only online). The one on Maui has an extensive website and its not far from the port.

I sent mine first to DCL.DW.Cruise.Activities@disney.com and was then told by them to send it to dclfuntionrequests@disney.com. Before I could even do that I received a message from someone in Disney Activities saying that my reservation was confirmed. I guess they forwarded it and gave me the wrong e-mail address.

I would send yours through DCL.DW.Cruise.Activities@disney.com because it seems like someone managing that box is forwarding them to the correct people.


Also, they confirmed our reservation for the 9th and told me to just reconfirm when we board, so I'm guessing they are getting them set early.

:...I have to disagree that FB is faster and easier. I get upwards of 20-30 emails everyday that I have to just delete telling me that someone has posted on the Hawaii FB page. I know I can turn off the email notifications, but I WANT email notifications of FB messages to me from my family and friends.

The Hawaii notifications are just a bother and when I sign on to FB I am notified that there are "6" or "8" or whatever posts on the Hawaii FB page, but no way for me to know if it is 6 posts on one subject or posts on several different subjects so I wind up looking over the whole page - once again - to see what was recently posted. This is not, in my opinion, faster than just scanning thru one DIS thread, skipping over posts that do not pertain to me. Just my two cents. I think I will not be participating in FB on future cruises. I will just stick with the DIS....

Just an FYI...
There is a notifications button at the top right of every group page, with a drop down menu. You may turn off email notifications for THAT GROUP ONLY and it will not affect any of your other notifications.
I don't receive any email notifications from any of my groups, unless I have not turned notifications OFF on the group page.

For your 2nd concern...There is a red notifications button on the top left of most FB pages that will indicate a number of "notices." It is where you will see 3 items at the top in a row (friend request, PMs, and a notifications button.

If you click on that notifications button, a box drops down and comments are ALL grouped, and if you click through that same notification, it will take you to that specific post. Not trying to persuade you either way, use what you feel most comfortable with, but sometimes it helps to know a few ways to control your feed.

There is also a very fast 'search' function for every group that I use when the DIS goes down, yet again.

I like both media for planning, so just thought it might help to share that...maybe someone else would like to know as well (?)

It might be that the period is required in a couple places, but...it may also be because the 'c' is left out of the word function... just sayin...

I had success in the past with dcl.special.request@disney.com but if they are willing to forward it for you from the Disney World address (DW) that may be a good back-up.

Let me know what you think of the earrings after you wear them. I love them but I was wonding if the backs were to long ? These are the only kind of earrings that I have so I may need to get used to them or I was thinking with your handy tools might be easier to snip a little bit off ?

For those who called the DoubleTree about your reservation don't worry that they didn't have you listed as you aren't in their system yet. I signed a contract with them months ago and I gave them MY credit card to guarantee that these rooms would be held, and they are. I asked everyone that contacted me for your full names and whether you wanted 1 king size bed in your room or 2 beds in your room. I have the list. Since then, I have been getting PM's about people still wanting to join us, hence my inbox is full. What's next? I decided rather than to keep sending lists everytime someone wants to party with us that I would wait and send the list in on Sunday. So for anyone else who wants to stay at the DoubleTree prior to our WONDERful cruise, please email me your name, address, bed type, and date of arrival to
Bweiss923@aol.com . Along with your information I need your credit card # to guarantee your room and you will be charged if not cancelled within the cancellation period. Thanks for this info, I will try shutting the emails off. Sorting thru and deleting them is a huge frustration for me.

For those who asked me about parking, you can park there for the whole time we are on the cruise - complimentary. If you have any special needs regarding your room accommodations, don't forget to let me know. For those who would rather call me with your credit card number, please email me and I'll will send you my phone number. In order to save time, I will need the name on the credit card, billing address, security code (on the back of your card) and expiration date.

Can't wait to see everyone next month. Let the party begin.
