Wow, just 6 weeks from today we'll all be boarding the Wonder for a fantastic 15 night cruise! For me it is even more surreal since I won't have the kids with me. I remember the first time Dh and I went on vacation without the kids and we kept commenting on how weird it felt. LOL Now this trip I will be without both my Dh and the kids...I just may be a mess up on deck 10 at the sail away party!

The kids have been a little sad watching me prepare my FE gifts for this cruise knowing they won't be on it! They have no clue they will be boarding the Wonder 3 weeks from today (on Easter!) with me and grandma and grandpa! I plan on doing a scavenger hunt Easter morning to reveal the surprise. I guess I should get started on that!

If you need  at the sail away, there are about 200 of us that will be there for you! :grouphug:

Share the kids reaction with us. How fun to surprise them!! :yay:

Val, if you wait til the 20th, I may have a solution. I copied the high quality image into photoshop using a base setting of at lease 300 resolution. I had to adjust the size and pixels so that I did not exceed the 12mg file size for Vista print. The image loaded without the low resolution warning. So I have either figured this out OR I will have a nice sharp blurry image....:lmao:

The shirts are set to arrive on the 20th so I will see.

If it works, I will be happy to share in more detail what I did. If it does not work, I will have happy to share the tip - Don't try IT!!!!!:rotfl:
///
But Vistaprint is only white and grey shirts, I think ????

Vista only has white, gray and black shirts. The Spread Shirt Company I found has multiple colors and sizes but I don't know anything about them.

Copying the images to Photoshop and saving at a high resolution is a great solution, but not everyone has photoshop.

I got a call from Jen, who was having problems with low resolution on some of the images she copied. What I did for Jan is have her give me her Flicker sign-on, it doesn't have any personal info attached to it. Then I copied the images she wanted to her Flicker account from my photoshop files, took all of 5 minutes. Now she has them at the high resolution and can download them to Vista or any other site she wants. I tried the Vista site and didn't have a problem with resolution, which she was having when she just copied and pasted them into her computer.

You can open a Flicker account free, doesn't require any real personal info, just an e-mail address. If it bothers you to give me a password, after I download the images for you you can change the password.

Let me know if you want any of the images moved to your Flicker account. Send me a PM.

I have used Cafepress.com in the past for custom designed t-shirts and magnets. I think they have kids sizes and colors. You might want to check them out.

I got a message that someone's shirt arrived with two broken buttons. I've cut the buttons off Bob's shirt and replaced them with brown coconut shell buttons. So if anyone else had a problem with broken buttons let me know, I have a few more I can send as replacements.

This is exactly what I wanted, Thanks Corinna :goodvibes

Just back from San Pedro. Our beautiful ship was sitting in port today. I really love looking at her. Wish I could have got on right then. :goodvibes

We were up there checking out a place to board our dog while on the cruise and we were very happy with where she is going to be taking her vacation - just 3 miles from the port. We really did not want to kennel her. Instead she will be staying in a home with a professional dog handler and a very nice playmate. He said we could leave our car there also and that he would drop us off at the ship. So two problems solved. :cool1:

Just wondering if there will be anyone around my age on this cruise? 24-whatever. it would be nice to hang out with someone my own age. I know of 2 people that are going but still just wondering

Also does anyone know where i can get some like stitch graphics for this cruise?

I found different colored Mickey head buttons for my shirt. Also my tailor is embroidering a tee shirt to match. I can't wait to see what it looks like!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm not planning to join in on any activities or link for dining, but thank you for the offers. If you give me more info on the stateroom viewing I would be willing to offer ours-we are a 5b #7112. The kids are on deck 2 but I can't remember their number and mother in law is 7127 but I know she would be very uncomfortable opening her room to "strangers". Reading this thread really gets me excited and thinking about packing, etc.
We are driving to LA on the 27th and staying at Universal and spending Saturday there and driving to the port on Sunday and parking there.

I ordered a t-shirt with Disney Princesses printed on last year for my girl and had no problems at all.

Great plan! Please post pictures if possible.

A group of us who is getting in the night before are staying at Doubletrre in San Pedro. Not sure what other are using to transfer from LAX to the hotel, but my family is using Super Shuttle with the price of $51 for family of 4. From the hotel to the port we will use free hotel's shuttle.

If you are interested for DoubleTree group rate, which was $139 I think contact Bev (mickeymom923). We also have Minnie Meet in the lobby that evening at 8PM with others staying at that hotel.

We're also using the Super Shuttle from the airport to the Doubletree and from GCV to LAX after the cruise.

My favourite Captain will always remain Captain Henry, but we like Captain Thord, too. We had Captain Thord on 3 of our 7 cruises: first Med in 2010, WBTA 2010 and MR 2011. So I was pleased when my friend told me that he would be our Captain for the Hawaii cruise. As to saying the wrong thing, we had a good laugh every day during the Captain's noon announcement on our Mexican Riviera cruise in October. Without fail, every day when Captain Thord shared the details of the position of the ship, he said Disney Magic instead of Disney Wonder. I think it was only too clear where his heart lies.

I guess I saw the worst possible side of Christian on the Panama Canal cruise and I cannot tolerate him because of this. He was actually quite nice on the Mexican Riviera cruise, but I will never forget how he behaved towards fellow DISers on the Panama Canal cruise.

Yup, way back in '05 I took a pic of both Cpt Tom and Thord as we were going thru the 1st lock, on the way back later that summer, I managed to print a copy for both Cpts. Cpt Thord was so astonished he told me he loved the picture(they were both looking at the clearance on the side of the lock) and would love to give it to his sons. He even asked if I wanted him to sign an extra copy I had. Then, whenever we ran into him, he always made it a point to say something nice. I did sail With Cpt Henry once or twice and he's sooo nice, I want him to be my grandfather. :)

As for Christian? Add me to the list of haters. Way back on the Winder's 11 nightly, I had a problem and he took my compliment said hed get back to me and never did when I followed up again a few days later, he didn't remember. He colored my image of what ships officers were like and it's taken many more cruises to realize, he just isn't a nice guy. He is arrogant and he doesn't seem to like us dis-sets very much and every time I gather the courage to ask him something, he just looks at you and doesn't seem to give a fig. So he's not my favorite. Perhaps why he's on her instead right? Heck, I'd take Peter over him and he was almost equal in my book. Naw, he's better. Not to mention funnier.

Certainly do not wish to complicate but a fornal princess shot sounds like a dream!!!

Oh that was so much fun, and I have formal long gloves I could wear this time. :cloud9:

GOOD Moring, Happy Cruisers!

Someone posted some REALLY cute Stitch graphics on this thread . . . I don't think that one was Valbob's but maybe . . . Hmm - you only have 87 pages to scroll through:rotfl2:

You'll meet someone your own age (that would NOT be me) although they may not be dis-ers - first off a lot of the CAST members will be your age -and be sure to go to the singles lunches.

Happy day, all!

I ordered a t-shirt with Disney Princesses printed on last year for my girl and had no problems at all.

Then they've changed. I remember one that was rejected because it had a drawing of the castle and a Mickey head on it.
