Update:

Alot of additions in last week. We are up to 4 groups of 26-27 as of now. I am closing this Feb 28th to print and send the groups. I will be including the amount of adults and children per cabin for those who want it.
I have 10 people doing all the groups and a few doing 2. If there is a heartship for anyone to do more then 27 cabins( due to ordering items) please let me know. I would think that 1 or 2 of the people doing all the groups , me included would be able to be left so theres no problems if someone is short a item .I just cant see making another group for 8 people and im trying hard to make everyone happy :goodvibes

Also please for all the GTY's when you are getting cabin numbers assigned let me know. I know some might not know till closer to when we sail but I want to update as much as I can.I plan on being in the promenade lounge at 3 pm prior to sailaway to hand out group rosters and maps with as updated info as i can get.I will also post on my cabin door but right now im a GTY too soo not sure where that will be!
Heather

WOW you did great and so fast. It really flows nicely.
Thanks

So Cute!!! and what a nice job with your dress and Steamboat Willie's cruise outfit.
Thanks

Wow, JLSE50, I:love: your dress. I am still working on my project, but have to keep clearing off the dining table.:headache: The Steamboat Willie accessories are precious.

BTW, we are no longer 07A GTY. We got our stateroom number. Did anyone else with Navigator's Veranda get theirs?

Diane
Thanks--I had to clear off the table a lot too!

This is gorgeous.

Congratulations on getting your room assignment.

Corinna
Thanks

Jan, Jan, Jan, ANKLE LENGTH? It would be knee length on me! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Why??

Would anyone be interested in dining at Beach Blanket Buffet (I think that's the Topsider's equivilent on the Wonder?)... on formal night?

In other words, a non-formal, formal night dinner? We don't do formal and even semi-formal is a struggle so will dine elsewhere and would love some company.
Every cruise we go on there are people in regular clothes at the dining rooms on Formal and Semi-formal nights. If you like Beach Blanket, go for it, but if you want the regular diningroom, just go there. ::yes::

Jan

Paula, our thoughts and prayers go to you and your family!

Love all the gorgeous outfits that have been made. I really need to get a move on sewing soon!

I also want to start getting things out to pack and have a plan not to leave packing to the last minute as we usually do. For the first time we were packed and ready a day ahead for our Aulani trip earlier this month. Hope we manage to accomplish the same for the cruise.

Thanks for the recommendation, Deb. Scott and I can't agree what to do. We're booked on DCL's transpo from VGC to the pier but I feel they pick up too late. I really need to get in the Palo queue asap and I think a 12:00-12:15 departure might put me too far back in line. OTOH, the entire point of using DCL is for the convenience. But for me, schlepping my own bags is worth it if I get Palo ressies when I'd like. For DH, he loves the idea of just putting the bags outside the door, hopping a bus after a nice leisurely morning and b/fast, and arriving when we arrive. I've requested a quote from this company and if they're anywhere close to DCL's price I'm going to put on the pressure, hahaha! Thanks again!

debg

You are welcome Deb.....I think their pricing is competetive with other car services....but it's their dedication and dependability that I admire. I don't have a clue what DCL charges, but I hope it works out for you.

I HIGHLY recommend them. They were first recommended to me by Noel. I tried them after the WBPC and I'm so glad I did. We had our luggage taken after the cruise. We didn't leave the terminal until about 2 hours after we were scheduled for pick up by golden west. We called to let them know. No problem. They waited for us and didn't charge us anything for the additional time. We left a good tip. I have used them everytime I needed car service on the West coast. I will use them again for this trip.

Thanks Deb (and Noel). I will get a quote from them. After a flight of 11+ hrs the last thing needed is further transport hassle.

You won't have any problem with them. They are quite dependable. I hope it works out for you.

Anyone else interested in the Candy Swap?

Each player will be placed into a group with 10-12 others - and will leave a small snack size candy/chocolate bar in each of the other FEs in their group - this activity will closed approximately 1 month before sailing when groups will be arranged

To sign up, please do so on the Candy Swap tab on the spreadsheet, I will confirm with all players listed in a few weeks and confirm groups.

I am from Washington State and we do not have any special candies that I could swap, unless someone loves Reese pnut butter cups and can not get them in their corner of the world then I would be happy to partipate. We love to try new things from around the world. The grocery store is the 1st place we stop when we get to Canada for our favorite treats

:laughing::laughing:

Hey...we have aplets and cotlets and almond roca that are Washington candies. Just had a friend take two tubs of roca back to Texas.
The only reason I am debating signing up is I am not supposed to eat a lot of sugar and get plenty with Disney desserts.. :rotfl:, but forgot to ask my daughter if she would like to participate. I will do roca if she does probably..

I was afraid to visit this thread..........lot's to catch up on. :surfweb: Well I worked 29 hours in 2 days for HBO series and guess what ? Now I am sicker then a dog !! Had to wear summer clothing in 30 degree weather. Took a long time to get my body warmed back up.

Wanted to share.........wen't to the post office and picked up my medium size flat rate boxes. It will cost 11.35 to ship and no weight issues as long as shipping in states. I have one box packed, not sure if I will use 2nd one or not. It helps me because the box is heavy ! I was able to fit 25 of my FE gifts in box. It will take 2-3 days to arrive at hotel.

:thumbsup2 That put us at 9 - Dis party on the bus!

Count 2 more in here ... Kirstyn and I will be joining you .. that is unless the Tubing the Ditch tour opens up :)

:dance3::dance3: Did the other excursion open up ? Hope you can join the party.

I found this earings on Etsy....need to ask seller if she has them in different color....she has all sorts of Disney ones....

Tina, I found image first when I was looking for some Mickey/Hawaii graphics on Google. Then I found her shop on Etsy and she didn't have any left. If you want contact her and she will make a pair for you. There are also surfing boards and hibiscus earrings....but not in the store anymore...

It really depends on how they mail it. Some have been very reasonable and yes, some were expensive. I've had both. You have to check.

:thumbsup2 I am sure it has to do with what I ordered.

We are REALLY going to miss our verandah on the Hawaii cruise! There are absolutely NO accessible rooms with verandah available! I keep calling and I keep bugging my travel agency to call, but it looks like we will have an oceanview.....but I keep telling myself how LUCKY we are to get to go at all!
We didn't think Patrick would still be so healthy and able to travel at this age....especially to fly AND our younger son, Mike, got time off and a stateroom so he can go with us. We will have our little family all together on a cruise again....we are blessed that we can travel! We love to cruise!

Another plus.....so many of our fellow DIS board cruisers that we have been with before...it will be like being at a big family reunion!

I keep telling myself the same thing ! My verandah will be on deck 4,9,10. :rotfl2:

Becky said she expects I will have them around 3-15. I'll need to check them over, package them up, print out labels and get them to the post office. So I would say you'll have them the first week in April. I'll post the progress as I get info. When I mail them I'll send each of you a confirmation and tracking info.

Val

:woohoo::woohoo: Thanks Val !

I just got my earrings today and it says they are from Hokey Donut (not Hokey Dokey). This may be the reason for the confusion.

Anyway, I love them. I got both the Surf Boards and the Disney Cruise line earrings. I made the mistake and ordered them in separate orders. Cheryl combined the orders for me and refunded me the extra shipping that I paid. And I got them the next day after ordering them and even with the customization I requested. Great vendor!

Could you post a pic. of the surfboard earrings when you get them ? Thanks

For those that like Etsy and/or have a warped sense of humour like me, you might like to try Regretsy.com - a site where they find the absolutely worst items on Etsy and highlight them. Its in part hilarious and in part revolting.

We have had some major stress this week. Qantas decided to cancel the Auckland/Los Angeles flights - they could get us to LA but not back (or at least not directly).

I got the dreaded email to say "your flights have changed, please call Customer Service). So I rang... sigh, the new flights were routed LA to Brisbane, then Brisbane to Auckland, then Auckland to Christchurch - taking the flight times all the way over the 24 hours duration. Not to mention they had us leaving Auckland before we arrived. The customer service rep tried to find us shorter flights and found one LA to Sydney then Sydney to Christchurch - still just over 20 hours... sigh.

While she was finding the flights, I quickly checked Air New Zealand and found flights that were much more direct and much faster. I politely requested a full refund on our flights which they granted and rebooked with ANZ .

Unfortunately, that meant finding $3700 at short notice to rebook until the refund comes through - OMG! I was lucky to find flights on the dates I needed and at a good price.

I should have just booked with ANZ all along, stupid mistake that I won't make again.

On top of this, we are dealing with some major health issues in the family, Robert's Dad is fighting the battle of his life with cancer and at this stage, it looks as if he will loose the battle fairly soon - he's only 67. For those who are friends on Facebook with Robert please don't say anything - he's keep it close to his chest at this stage. :sad1:

Anyway, I need to get on and organise the linked dining update, the candy swap and a few other odds and ends.

I think way back, someone volunteered for a "book/magazine swap/drop" bag at their door - anyone recall who? If not, I'm happy to do this and donate books to the crew at the end of the cruise. I guess the other question is, is anyone interested in a book swap? Or is everyone kindleing/ipading it these days? ;)

I am so sorry Paula. (((Hugs))). Sending prayers and :wizard:.

Let me know your cabin number and I can give you a reminder that we are meeting for dinner on the first sem-formal night. ( Thursday May 10th @ 6:00 PM )

Sadly, I am going to have to CLOSE the Champagne Girls tasting. We have nearly 100 ladies attending. I don't even know if DCL can accommodate all of us. But I can't add anymore because I'll go broke paying for all the champagne and I will run out of pink flowers and leis. So.......

The Champagne Girls tasting is officially closed to any newcomers. If I already have your name, you will be added. But I will not be taking any new names.

Could someone please make a note on page one that the event is now CLOSED. Thanks.

:scared1: Wow Deb !!! Could I volunteer to help John pour ? Anything else I could do ? Feel free to ask, that's ALOT to take on.
