Paid up and ready to book!

Don't recall that anyone has discovered our theme nights...or did I miss that? Think I'll just pick random dates for Palo dinner/tea/brunch then.

Booking the $75:
Kilohana Plantation & Train Ride, Wailua River & ‘Opaeka‘a Falls

  • Port: Nawiliwili, Kauai
  • Duration: 3 to 3.5 Hours
and the $196
Old Lahaina Luau

  • Port: Kahului, Maui
  • Duration: 5 to 5.5 Hours
Friends still doing research on other non-DCL options, so everything is subject to change, I guess.

We don't even know where we are staying the night before the cruise...but for a very good reason. Contacts made about a very special stop at DLR the day before the cruise, but we won't know till February if it will come to fruition. Fingers crossed!

I have been burried in work and that's why I haven't posted much, but you will be seeing me around more. Had a wonderful B2B Dream cruise in November, then immediately got sick afterwards. Looks like I'm relapsing again right now, and will be spending the holiday weekend resting and taking my assorted cold remedies.

I'm going to need a tiny appointment book to take on the cruise, as there are so many friends that I want to make time for. Need to schedule some breakfast and lunch meets on our sea days!

Trying very hard to stay awake for the 'booking hour'. I was nodding off at 6:30 :sad2:. Time to switch from lemonade to a nice strong tea, I think.

Hello fellow Hawaii cruisers....my DW and I will be joining you. I see that a lot of people that were on the WBTA last year with us will be on this cruise also......if someone would be kind enough so I don't have to go through thousands of posts could you kind of give me the readers digest review of the cruise.....we already e-mailed about the lanyards but is it to late for the shirts and are is anybody going to try and set up some excursions on our own like to Pearl Harbor etc? We are kind of late joining the thread because I was concerned as to weather we would be able to swing paying for the cruise....but made the final payment so we are with ya...
Thanks much.
Tom & Marilou

WELCOME!!! Glad you are joining us. I think you can order shirts for another day. Valbob would be who you would need to contact. I think her email is on the first page somewhere in the shirt message. Hopefully she will be online! :surfweb:

I think there were some who were talking about private tours, but I don't think anything is organized yet.

I will be linking late dining, if you are interested in sitting with other DISers at dinner, and of course, if you are on second seating.

Be sure and go to the spreadsheet (on first post) and signup on the main page listing all cruising and for whatever suits your fancy. Champagne girls, etc.

Make time for us!!! :grouphug:

That's what I keep telling myself. In 2 days we can say we are going to Hawaii this year !!:woohoo:[/QUOTE]

Oh I hadn't thought of that :dance3:

:happytv:
Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Alan, you are a Bad BAD boy!:rotfl2:

Val, thank you SO MUCH!

REally glad everyone came through with their payment - Can't WAIT to get my hands on that fabric.

My thoughts were to make teddy bear shirts for all who wanted them, but I"m having carpal tunnel surgery in February, so I don't know HOW long it will be before I can sew again. :scared1: I hope at least Dimples and OC get theirs.

Happy Day, all!

I could help with bear shirts. but I don't have a Duffy for a model.
What would you do with the border design? Some on each shirt or use only the Mickey logos?

Open in the back or front?
Velcrox or snaps?
Collar or crew neck?

How many?
All Duffy size or other sizes?

If people sent me fabric scraps from other projects like scrapbook covers in addition to Linda's fabric then I could make more shirts.

If I had a shirt the right size for each pet who is ordering and info from the pet's human about fastener location (front opening or back opening) and type (velcrox or snaps) I could send the "pattern shirt" back with the Hawaiian ones.

How would we handle cost? If Linda boughtI the yardage how do we determine what each pet owes, in addition to postage, for delivery of finished shirt order ?

(I did not offer to make kid shirts because I have no buttonholer on my sewing machine but I can ask around--now that it may be too late to get fabric I get an idea of how to help--sorry )

 what if there is a Mickey logo on the front and a different one on the back of each shirt!! And the opening is from neckline to edge of sleeve across the shoulder and top of the arm? Then the pet slides in from the top and the sleeves are closed with snaps or velcro along that top edge?
Maybe?

Jan

Any thoughts on how to proceed?
Jan

The MK is running their New Years Eve fireworks tonight and tomorrow night. They start them at 11:50 so they are going full blast now as I wait for the booking window to open! :rolleyes1

Anxiously awaiting midnight to book our excursions. Spent most of the evening going back and forth with everyone trying to decide on which tours we wanted. Hope I can get online and get this booked. Good luck to everyone booking. Hope everyone gets what they want.

Bev :):)

I was listening as I booked also!

Got Palo's on 1st sea day at 7:30 p.m.
Palo's for brunch on my birthday May 11 at 10:30 a.m.

and

Arizona Memorial in Honolulu. Shore excursion time is 7:30 a.m.

Rest is on our own in rental car.

Good luck to everyone else!

Anybody else having trouble booking anything at all on Maui?:confused3

I saw them, but they are all coded, you can't really tell what is what. Thankfully I marked my favorites, so I just chose the one with the star.

Can anyone see the Waikiki Helicopter Tour? I know it was on the website before, but now I don't see it. :(

Did anyone notice that there's a "Heaven and Earth" helicoptor tour in Nawiliwili listed on the port excursions page...but when you try to actually go to the booking page it's not listed as an option? :(

We got our choices in all the other ports so far-----
1.) biking the volcano in Hilo,
2.) the Ocean Center and Plantation followed by the Luau in Maui (it was hard to do that booking though because the page was screwed up and showed the CODES for the adventures, not the actual title/name of the event),
3.) a waterfall hike in Honolulu

and probably horseback riding in Ensenada.

We still haven't decided on Palo and spa...doing that shortly.

Its not letting me book anything for Maui. Got the Palo I wanted, but I could not add my linked staterooms.

Actually, it looks like the helicopter tours in both Honolulu and Nawiliwili are not listed on the booking pages????

Well that went surprisingly well - and I'm leary of technology when it comes to stuff like this. The last page that you see that tells you about your itinerary with the Family name at the top never updated...and our emails look the same way.:scared1: But the calendar shows the items we booked - so I guess we're OK. Anyone else having this same thing happen?

I did notice that for Maui everything was just 'codes' no descriptions or prices...but we had gone in and saved the ones we wanted as favorites and the favorites had stars next to them - so I just booked the one with the star. Hopefully it's the right one. :confused3

So if this all worked - this what we booked:
  • Day 4 - Palo Dinner
  • Hilo - Hawai‘i Tropical Botanical Garden & Big Island Candies @ 12:15pm
  • Maui - Maui Ocean Center & Maui Tropical Plantation @ 8:30am
  • Oahu - A Tale of 2 Palaces – Hawai‘i's Royal History Tour @ 9am
  • Kauai - Surfing Lessons @ 11:45am
  • Day 10 - Palo Tea @ 3pm
  • Day 13 - Palo Brunch @ 11am

All in all - happy to have this done. :cool1:

Good luck to the rest of you! Hope you all get what you want! pixiedust:
