April 28, 2011 3 night Dream

Hi Mmkteer
Thanks for the advice. We were lucky and got a direct flight from home to MCO but its still a long travel day and who wants to board the Dream tired? DD has actually said "well, if we don't sleep we can fit it all in" in response to "how are we going to do/see everything we want to!
Maybe you will win a lottery and then you can cruise all you want :thumbsup2. see you soon,

You know I am not sure I did sleep on my first cruise which was on the Disney Magic. Oh wait yeah I think I did, but only for a few hours a night! :) It seems like no matter what though I am always tired the first day. I think part of it is the getting up at 6:30am to get out the door by 7 or so and all the adreniline. I am like a kid at Christmas time when it comes to cruising and the ship is my present! :) This time around it's such a quick cruise it will be tough. But, I will stay onboard in Nassau and probably at CC too. So, that will give me a little more time onboard. Oh and if I win the lottery, ya'll will know it, cause' I'd invite you guys as my guest onboard! But, alas I think you have to play before you can win. My luck is horrible. I mean I don't go to casino's, but if I did I'd probably be better off just handing them a $20 when I walk in the door and be done with it instead of trying to place a bet.

Heads up fellow cruiser's....especially if you check this thread first!

Their is a new terminal port check in procedure! Keep your eye on your reservation through Disneycruise.com and go to your online check in process. You will now have to choose the time you will arrive the port and the wording says "MUST" arrive at the port. I got the 10:30 time, but there goes my whole theory of trying to get there before 10am! I am a Gold member so I don't know if everyone gets to pick this far in advance. Though I heard Platinum members and suite guests don't even have to choose a time. Gosh, my "cheese" just got moved again. LOL!

Choose a Port Arrival Time.
10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

11:00 AM - 11:30 AM

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM

12:30 PM - 01:00 PM

01:00 PM - 01:30 PM

01:30 PM - 02:00 PM

02:00 PM - 02:30 PM

02:30 PM - 03:00 PM

03:00 PM - 03:30 PM

^^^ Yes, I noticed that last night ^^^
We chose the 10:30 arrival time. We have 2 reservations with varying Castaway status for all of us. I guess we wait and see how this all plays out. Our group is coming to the terminal together regardless! :rotfl2:

Hi Fellow Shipmates!

Been busy so never got to look in for a few days.

Hope everyone is doing well and getting excited!

Sorry to hear Bella-noel is no longer on our sailing, but hope you have a great trip!

As for the fish extender it seems we dont have enough now  I think theres only two of us left in it which seems a bit too small, what does anyone think?

Thanks for the info about the boarding times,,,, I emailed disney to ask where mine was,,,,only to be told I'll still be on the boat,,,, DOH!!!!
I had forgotten we are doing the four night sailing beforehand and apparently we get walked off the boat and walked back on once all the departers have gone.:thumbsup2

Maybe Ill give you all a big cheer when you come aboard, we'll fetch our irish flag so you can avoid us.

Getting very excited now, even managed to start the diet!

Maybe we need to firm everything up and find out how many partys are DEFINITLEY joining in.

I know we are very lucky, or just very addicted, one of the two. We are flying a long way though so you may as well do two, dont you think??? <<thats how I convince the hubby anyway:lmao::lmao:

I think I might "roll" into the atrium (remembering Ill have already ate my way through the ship for the previous 4 nights) and whoop whoop WHOOP you all when you embark.

I remember the first time we embarked a disney cruise my daughter was 4 at the time and she did a very grand bow and curtsey, when they called out our name.:goodvibes

Bren :)

:chat: Just an FYI . . .
Cass (aka Timon) is in the process of writing her trip report from her Jan 30th Dream cruise. It had LOTS of wonderful pictures. It is a work in progress. Thought some here might be interested in reading her thoughts and looking at all the great photos :woohoo:

Click HERE to find the report :thumbsup2

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :flower3:

My guess...probably a little of both, LOL! Yeah, I guess their is no way to beat you to the buffet line since your doing the back to back. Well I guess I'll know who to go to for food reccomendations. :lovestruc He,he I'll be listening for the Whoop, whoop- then I'll know it's you. :) I hope to be onboard once again by 11:45. I wonder if I'll be able to snag another boarding ticket #1 again.
ps
Your daughter sounds adorable- I bet she still is. :)

Wow, Timon has done a great job with her trip report. It's the best I have seen yet. Thanks for sharing it!
Guys, I am either gonna need some serious pixie dust with a upgrade from the upgrade fairy or some extra money, cause' I have just recently realized what a cat. 9a gty is that I have booked. Man, it was all that was available back in Dec. and it was a great rate. But, it's those wierd looking forward rooms. I really wanted a normal oceanview cabin that actually looks like the other cabins I have sailed in before on DCL. UGH!

We sailed RCCL Mariner of the Seas a couple years ago to the Mexican Rivera and had a forward facing cabin on deck 7. WE LOVED IT! We had a corner room which looks similar to the pictures I've seen on the main cruise board. I think the room most people are concerned about is on deck 6 which has quite a slant. I suppose it all depends on your needs/wants/likes, but the room felt spacious to us. My DH pulled the desk chair up to the porthole and spent most of the time in front of the window watching for whales.

In fact we have a 9A GTY booked on the Fantasy for April 2012. I'm hoping we get a forward cabin as I really liked it on the other ship (even though it's a different cruise line) I have decided I'm one of those that likes the front of the ship!:rolleyes1

On this cruise (4/28) we have a deck 5 extended veranda in the aft of the ship. I have been watching the threads concerning the aft rooms hearing a lot of noise from the lounges on deck 4. Our room is above a hallway, so I'm hoping we don't get all the "boom-boom" noise people are talking about, but I guess we'll see :confused3

We're going to have a great cruise . . . no matter what :woohoo:

:) I was on the madien voyage of Mariner, great ship. :) And, I was actually lucky enough to get upgraded into a balcony. :) Wahoo! I agree it's not that bad really of a cabin and I wouldn't mind it on another cruiseline. But, it just doesn't say Disney cruise ship to me. I have actually only been lucky enough to get a balcony 1 of the 8 times I have sailed with Disney. Normally I am on deck two in a oceanview cabin, which I like. And I don't care where it is on the ship. :) I hope your cabin won't be too noisy, but I'd be willing to switch with you if it is. LOL! I'll cross my fingers for you and you cross them for me. :)

75 DAYS TO SAIL DATE FOLKS!!! And finally paid in full!!!!

WAHOO! :cool1:

I make my last payment on Monday. Yea! Now I have to start planning my packing list. Can never start too soon!
