April 27 4 night Wonder

Still searching for gifts. Can not seem to find anything that represents NJ. Finishing the packing. Trying not to over pack. Anyone know if we can store luggage under the bed? Can't remember.......

For everyone staying at Country Inn.....first shuttle to port is at 10:30 no sooner. May have my hubby drop me off with bags and a child to check in and let him go back to hotel to park and ride shuttle. Will he be able to come check in after us? What will he need to show if I have cruise documents? Help anyone. :dance3:

I'm not sure if DCL will let you him in without him being there, if you have all the documents and passports, I don't see why they wouldn't let you check everyone in. But if they don't, he just has to go through security, head upstairs and meet you in the terminal (it's almost like an airport waiting area with comfy chairs, tvs, and even a few characters stop by to say "cheese!". He can just get online to check himself in with his passport and documents. But don't get on the ship without him! You guys need to take your family portrait on the gangway...:goodvibes HTH.

:cool1: Just in case anyone is wondering, the weather channel is forcasting 82 and partly cloudy for our day in Nassau!! Can't wait!!!!

I don't know about everyone else but I am getting ancy. I can't wait. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at 3:30 in the Promenade lounge on deck 3. We'll be the ones with the extremely bouncy:tigger: 6 year old. We'll only have about 45 minutes for everyone to meet then head for our boat drill. I would like to come up with another meet maybe on sea day for a group picture. At least we will know who we are so we can say hi.

We will have two bouncing balls with us, ages 6 & 4. Everyone is super-excited.....especially the big kid at heart, me! I keep looking at the bags and in only a few days we will be loading them in the car to the airport. That's when it become real. :cool1:

It is so excited to read that everyone is getting ready to go.:cool1: My DH and I haven't even started packing yet, but hey it is only a 4 day cruise this time so I will only have to pack 1/3 of what I normally pack for a 7 day.

Ryan (8) doesn't have a clue yet that we are sailing next weekend. We don't plan on telling him until Sunday. He will know once we get closer to port since he has sailed twice on the Magic. I can't wait to see the look on his face!:yay:

We will fly into Orlando on Sat but we are staying in the Orlando area so he still will not have a clue. Thank God we just booked this trip 2 weeks ago, I don't think I could hold this secret very long from him.

What is everyone doing for shore excursions at Nassau? We are going to do the Aquadventure at Atlantis. We love waterslides and the beach so I think this will be quite fun. I recommend to anyone that the bicycles at Castaway Cay are a great way to see the island. They have bikes for everyone, even ones with baby seats. We thought this was one of the best things we did at CC.:woohoo:

Not too sure about any Nassau excursions. Last year we were not impressed. I think we may leave the kids on the boat and do some shopping for an hour or so then go enjoy the pool while everyone on on the island. Looking forward to CC day the most. No plans there yet either. This time next week we will be getting ready to check in. :cheer2: :yay: :cool1: :dance3:

We are not sure about the excursions yet. We are getting everything together and ready to pack. Getting the FE gifts ready too. Can't wait to get on that boat and relax for a few days. 6 days and counting. See ya then! :cool1:

Well I have the dinner clothes, ds and fe's packed:cool1: We are doing a cruise around the island with snorkel time included, and then shopping for Ricardo's Banana Rum;)

That's so neat to surprise him, I don't think I could keep a straight face either for too long, I'd burst. I'm looking forward (but not rushing it at all!) to DD2 to be old enough for us to surprise her with these trips!

We're not doing any excursions (at least not through DCL) at Nassau this time either. We might stop by Atlantis so DH can do some gambling, then we're going to shop a bit and either do the Pirates Museum or the Ardastra Gardens, haven't decided yet. But it'll be a short Nassau day for us, we'll be back on the ship to relax. :cloud9: I have a Parasailing excursion in CC, but I'm so wimpy right now, I keep thinking to cancel :rolleyes1

ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS! YAY! :yay:

Started packing last night, or creating mounds of things on the floor.

A waterproof camera is a must.

As are plastic baggies.

Oh and the best CC tip - if you are going to the Adult Beach, take the Tram.

See everyone there!

Jennifer

Since this is our first trip to Nassau we are going to walk thru the Straw Market then head over to the Pirates Museum. We have read many bad post about Nassau but figured we need to experience for ourselves. If we don't like it then we know not to go ashore the next time. (We haven't even had our first cruise and I am already talking about the next one:laughing: ) Then we are going to take a taxi over to Atlantis to check it out.

We have booked parasailing at Castaway Cay. I think I need to meet Queenie when she gets back from parasailing and hear her stories to see if I still want to go up:rotfl: We also are going to rent bikes.

Everyone pray we can dock at CC. Recent trip reports have said the ocean current was rough ands the winds prevented multiple attempts to dock at CC. I am hoping that things change for us. I am looking forward CC. We leave Friday am and r counting down, although the kids think we r leaving Saturday. Can't wait to surprise them. :yay:

I parasailed last time we were on CC and loved every minute of it. We went up in pairs of two's. It was so quite up there and the water view was spectacular. Don't cancel it you will regret it.
