OMG - what a comedy of errors at DVC. they are opening up a brand new store in the Chicago are to sell DVC. They are having a pre-opening celebration August 1, 2, and 3rd and then open to the general public August 4th. So they send out a nice mailer with the number to call and say there is limited availability. No problem. I'm on the phone nice and early and grab a reservation for 8/1 at 6pm. Only problem is when the confirmation postcards come out they are all wrong. Ours didn't even show we had a reservation. Call this morning and confirm our time for 2 adults.

Well get home from work and there is a call from DVC. Confirming our time and date and that we are set for 2 adults and 2 kids. So Karen can get the kids get here by say 4 pm on Wednesday? We'd like to borrow them.

Found a great way to wear out my parents dog. If I hold a fun noodle up to my mouth and make strange noises, she runs around the back yard like a chicken with its head cut off. It is hysterical b/c she changes directions and runs circles and then, after 5 minutes of this, she flops on her belly with her legs sticking straight out. Yeah, she'll sleep well tonight!

She sleeps well every night, actually (but usually it takes a lot more of MY energy to wear her out! This is EASY!)

Back to the doctor today for my follow-up. So I need to leave work a little early.

Karen - thanks for the loan of KT. You know Bear won't go near a mall. I give Disney a lot of credit. This was a major screw-up most likely by a 3rd party mailer and here is what DVC said in their follow-up e-mail:

A familiar cast of characters is hard at work on the big event, finalizing all of those little details that will help make this a memorable experience. Unfortunately, one of those characters is Goofy, who somehow convinced the planning committee to let him manage a few of our event-confirmation messages. So, if you received any "goofs" in your confirmation message, you now know who was at the keyboard.

You have to give them credit - they do think fast. Looking forward to seeing the store. Not that we'll be adding on. We're really just going to check it out for you Karen. Ratatouille, I think.

We've seen it twice. Once at the theater, and once at the drive in. Mike says it's one of his favorite Pixar films! It was very very good. It'd be hard for *me* to pick a favorite though.

The Apple store is in Woodfield. What I meant was that it wasn't far from the DVC store. I don't think it is as big as the one at Easton but still a good size.

I just looked at Mike and said, "There is an Apple store in Woodfield mall." And he shot his head over at me and said, "Oh, yeah, I'd like to see what a different Apple Store looks like." Virgil has him trained, eh?
