OK we are now officially booked! Just got off the phone with DCL and transferred our December '07 reservation to this one! We've got one cruise before this - the DVC Member Cruise in October. Really looking forward to getting back to the Eastern ports.

to bring everyone up to date this will be our first eastern cruise cat 5. we did the western Magic this june with our two sons both college age we also were on the 4 night wonder in 2003 is anyone else making door signs and dressing up on pirate night im Mike and dw is Eileen .

We'll just do "tropical" wear on pirate night. We'll be combining this cruise with a week at WDW (DVC members) and the amount of packing to get in all of those extras is just too much.

But I WILL have my door signs....
Here's a pic of our door from the Blabbermouth cruise. And this is BEFORE some lovely DIS friends added more signs to my door!! (and this is before the tall teens in our group put all of our signs on the CEILING!)

Hey....looking at that door sign made me think of something....Maybe we need a mascot to send around.

For the Blabbermouth cruise, since it was a "double scoop" at Castaway Cay, we had a "Scoopie" doll that went and visited families all over the country. Then people would report back in and show pictures of what Scoopie was up to at their house. Maybe as we get some more people we should start that up!!!

Been a weird day here. I've actually been home all day and on the computer a lot doing some.....work. Yeah, work. I promise I won't be this obnoxious between now and April of 2008!

We always do door decorations and depending on the group sometimes other members of the group add to our doors. Usually the result of jokes that were played on each other over the year or more we got to know each other. Since many of us had been on the 2004 10 day cruise together we had been chatting for close to 3 years by the time we sailed in May of '06.

I will say one thing at this point - the cruise groups we've been part of have let to some wonderful friendships. We've laughed together, we've cried together, we've become family. Still with each new group we've found new friends and I'm hoping the same is true here. Really looking forward to getting to know everyone on our way to sailing together in 2008.

btw, I'm not going crazy, I've been there and back several times. I'd have myself comitted to a ward with rubber walls, but they won't let me take in my cross stitch scissors.

Jen - yes the board still does have Friday night chats but the chat room has been acting up the past couple of weeks so I haven't been posting about it. I know the webmasters are fixing it. Once it is totally fixed I'll start putting up reminders again.

I figured all the talk tonight would be about the repo cruises too so I didn't venture over there.


Edited to add - forget the mascot at Club 33 - can you take me??? Oh yeah I guess I'd have to go out to Disneyland first.

did you notice my dd is already arranging a DIS meet with your dd? we're heading to CA in September for my dh's podcast expo. We plan to do Disneyland (we've never been) and some things in San Diego. I swear we aren't crazy psychos, so maybe by then you'd be up for a meet if you are anywhere close.
