I am from Canada and am wondering if the parks and the HRH will be busy with spring breakers April 23-27, I heard spring break in the USA is a different week depending on what state you are from. I have been calling weekly to try to get one more day on Mon. April 22 and the hotel has not had a room available for that day yet. I am excited about FOTL access since we will be HRH guests. Just wondering based on what I have read about the parks and the lounge chairs filling up early.

Also, I have 3 boys 12yrs and twins turning 9yrs while in Florida, I am wondering what restaurants they would enjoy.

Is slime time worth all the time that you spend there? Someone posted that it took 2 1/2 hrs out of their day. I watched it and was not really impressed. I phoned Nickolodeon and was told they will be taping April 25 and 26. This would be something my twins would enjoy and they are crazy enough to be picked as contestants.

I am going myself next week and, yes, it's not all that impressive for us as adults to watch but my son cannot wait. I think we Moms have suffered through alot more for our kids, huh?

Spring breaks do differ state by state and county by county here. My son's is next week but most of my family's is this week.

Your kids will probably enjoy the Hard Rock Cafe. It's in Citywalk but you can also access it through an exit near the Nickelodeon part of Universal.

In IOA I'd recommend Thundering Falls Tavern. It near the Jurassic Park ride. If you sit out back on the patio you can watch people at the end of the ride. Confisco's has good food too. If you're looking for a relaxing sit down meal, Mythos is good and has very large and resonable kids meals.

If you just want to watch a slime time taping 2-3 hours sounds about right. If your kids actually want to participate as contestants it can take a considerably larger bite out of your day.
We got to the queue about 12 noon, there were at least 50-60 people ahead of us. The auditions began after 2. By the time my daughter was selected it was after 3pm and we were given a release form to fill out and told to come back at 4:30 for her segment. When we returned they had to divide the kids into teams and go over the rules, and some had to change into other outfits. Her actual time on the air was about 6pm and she had to clean up afterwards (she got creamed in the shaboozie) so we actually got escorted out of the park aboout 6:45 pm, almost an hour after the park had closed that October day!
Later I asked her if it was worth all of the hassle and got a big YES!!!!!!!!!
Have a blast
