It’s kind of funny to see “Beachladiie” as a screen name and then see you’re location. Where in PA are you?

Instead of going to bed early like I should have, I decided to try my hand at a Dismeet name tag.

It you like it I would be happy to make them for the group.

In real life, the graphics are actually crystal clear... for some reason converting it to jpg made it fuzzy. At least you get the idea though...

I figured we only really needed for names.

Also, for SOs and such who don't have a username (like mine) I was thinking of putting something like, "DH of jordgubben" in the Mickeyhead.

The name tags are so cute! You did a really nice job on them!

Will you e-mail us the tag blank or do you want us to e-mail our names and pick them up at the meet?

If people are comfortable with it, you can email me the information that I would need to print on the name tags and I will print them up and bring them to the meet. As far as people that don’t email, I figured that I would bring some blanks to the meet in case there are people that don’t send me their info.

Most of us wind up finding each other in port at check in...my experience in the past....so I will wear mine then...your screen name would be the one we recognize from our correspondence w/you....so I am DCBrown...and you would be jordgrubben? I would love one emailed...if you could.
Thanks a bunch,

Wearing them at check in at the port might be a cool idea.

I realized that my oringal post with the picture of the name tag sounds like I was drinking heavily when I was typing it. What I meant to say is that I though first names would be sufficient for the "Name" part and that (for myself as an example) I would put "jordgubben" in the mickey head.

If it seems like it should be reversed that's fine by me. I just thought it was pretty unlikely that people would actually call other people by their screen name. (People always say my screenname wrong anyway because it's actually swedish and pronounced "yourd-goo-bin"). Plus the people without a screen name (like my hubby and most likely others) wouldn't have anything in the big white space.

I just noticed that I can't attach the file to the form email thing when you email through the Dis. So, if you would like me to send you the file with the name tag please email me and I'll response with the file.

Thanks!

Hi, I'm just a beginner. We are on the April 23rd Magic too. It will be myself, DH, DD 12, DS 9. We look forward to meeting some of you onboard.
:hourglass
This will be our 2nd cruise. We did Land/Sea in Nov 02. We booked this cruise while onboard. Our kids decided they would like to try a 7day this time around. :cool1:
See you there.
Barbara

I don't know how to find the teen thread. Can anyone out there help me?
Thanks
Barbara

to Cruisin,
I too have a DS age 9 for the 4/23 cruise. His name is William and he likes Yu-Gi-Oh and Star Wars. Hope they can get together on the cruise.

Hi Barb,

By getting here you are halfway there!! You go to the top of this page and click on Cruise Meets and keep scrolling until you see the Kids thread for 4/23/05 or Teen Thread....my girls are on the Kids (11 and 12) and their sister is on the Teens (17) although they are just inbetween...most of the kids on the kids thread are much younger than them...but much older than they are on the Teen board...hope they can hook up!

So yesterday I was cleaning up a little which lead me to gather the cruise
stuff I had all over the place and throw it in the suitcase (since the
next time we use them will most likely be for the cruise).

Anyway, I'm so excited about the snokel set that we bought at Costco
last summer. I just took them out of their packaging tonight and they
are freaking awesome! Granted, I had an idea of how cool they were
when we bought them because I had to justify the $38 a piece that they
were (which I figured we would recoup anyway just by not having to
rent them on Castaway Cay, Xcaret, etc.) but I had forgotten.

The snokels are frankly the coolest part (and why I got this set).
Here's a link in case you are interested:
http://www.aqualung.com/products/impulse_dry_flex.html

So the top of the pipe if you will is covered and the air comes in
little holes near top on the sides. The awesome part is that there's
a bobber thing that floats up to close the holes if you if you
submerge the snokel! Plus, if you do happen to get water in the
snokel (like they gave the example of accidentally not having your
mouth sealed) you can blow the water out straight down instead of up
the whole length of the pipe which is much easier. I've had a bunch
of snokel sets growing up (I loved just floating around in the pool
with the snokel even) and I am so excited about this one. Along with
the snorkel there is a mask (duh) which is very nice and had a good
seal even in my living room, and of course fins. The packs were sized
so the fins are closer to being your actually foot size but are still
adjustable and let me tell you they are REALLY comfortable. The best
part is that the whole set fits nicely in this small backpack thing
which has one cross over backpack strap and is very confortable even
when fully loaded. I'm glad because now I don't have to figure out
what bag I'm going to bring to carry those few things I always seem to
need (sunglass case, etc.). While there's not a lot of extra room
there's just a enough for the necessities.

I can't wait to go snokeling. I put on all the gear and walked into
the room where DH was just to make him laugh. I really can't
wait to swim. I haven't been in the water in sooooo long.

So, all this talk about snokeling brought up another issue. I just
purchased an Aquapac for our digital camera and an Whanganui Belt case
(also by Aquapac) for money, cards and passports. DH will be able
to put the belt case in one of his velcro swimsuit pockets (gotta love the cargo style swimsuit) so that we don't have to leave stuff on the beach. In case you want to see if this time of thing fits your needs the site is:
http://www.aquapac.net/

I actually ended up not buying the things directly from Aquapac because their ordering site was not secure. Luckily, this site is: www.waterproofcases.net

Hey jordgubben, those snorkels look great. I got something very similar for my kids. We can't wait to use them, I am glad to hear that we aren't the only ones walking around the fireplace with masks and snorkels...lol.

Not to change the subject, but I am. Would you mind e-mailing me the Green Mickey DIS badge from the earlier post? Either PM it to me or send it to cars6858@bellsouth.net. I hope it is not too much trouble, we would just love to have them for the terminal.

Thanks! (Can't believe it's only two months away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) :Pinkbounc

I would be happy to email you, and anyone else, the name badge that is featured in the above post. I will have to do so from home tonight though as I don’t have the file with me here.

We are coming into town a few days early to enjoy the Ron Jon resort. Anyway, we are planning to have supper on Friday night before the cruise at Grill's in Port Canaveral. We would love to meet some of you guys there if you are interested. I think it will be a nice relaxing environment in which to chat a little bit. It is an open invite to whomever may want to join us. It would be a lot of fun to have a whole group. If there is a large response, I will check in with Grill's to see about a large party reservation. :cool1:

we are also staying at Ron Jon's the night before the cruise. We fly into Orlando that same day so if we are not too exausted out we will try make it at Grill's....soounds fun. Is Grill's close to Ron Jon's?? Thanks.
