Way early, i know, but who else is going? We are a group of 15 right now. This will be our 3rd DCL cruise. Let me know who will be joining us!

Hi Jillie, glad so see that someone started our thread! We just returned from our first DCL cruise it was the eastern on April 3. Needless to say we rebooked on board for this cruise. We are from Long Island and it will be myself, DH, and our DD who will be nine by then. Look forward to chatting with you!

Hey Gina...glad to know someone else will be there. Sorry it took me awhile to reply but we were in Hawaii for 10 days (took this year off from cruising and did Hawaii instead...already anxiously awaiting our next cruise)!
My kids cannot wait to get back onboard the Magic either!!

So...is it just Gina and me cruising on April 23, 2005? Lets get some excitement going here.....I just got my new Passporter and am having so much fun reading it and getting really excited about our cruise!

Actually there are three of us, Mommy, Daddy and Gina, she is going to be 9 on our next cruise. We just returned from our first cruise last month. Of course we loved it and rebooked on board. I'm sure there are plenty of others going, they just haven't found us yet lol. Talk to you soon

Hello All -
Took us a while to find the thread. We are from Long Island too - and we are right next door -- in Mount Sinai! We actually used to live in Coram before we bought this house. We are travelling with two other families and we are trying to convince a fourth to join us. We did the Western last August and loved it! We thought this week would be good because, although we have the week off here in New York, we thought that other schools in the rest of the country probably have Easter week off instead of Passover.

Anyway, our family has two boys who will be 15 and 11. Our friends have a girl 15 and a boy 11. Our other friends have a 15 year old boy.

Hey yankee, thats funny, we're moving in a month to a house in Miller Place, and my brother in law lives in Mt Sinai off of Echo. We did the eastern this past August and of course loved it! You are right about the time off. Our first cruise was spring break and very expensive, this one turned out to be almost $2000 cheaper and we're getting our our air. Look forward to chatting with you.

I 99% sure my son and will be there.:bounce: :Pinkbounc This will be our first cruise. I've been going back and forth between DCL and Carnival. Carnival's price and the casino were the main reasons I was leaning toward them.

However, I know my son and I will both love CC. DCL is more than I wanted to spend, but I sure it will be worth it.

My son will be 13 when we cruise.

Hope you can make it Brooklyn - the place of my birth! Your son will love the Disney Cruise. This will be our third one. On the last one, my older one was 13. He loved the freedom of being able to roam the ship on his own. He also made some friends in the teen club. There is so much to do -- together and separately. We plan on doing RCL at some point -- but were hoping to wait until the boys are older (because of the rock climbing wall and inline skating, etc.) This may be my last chance to get away with taking them on the Disney Cruise.

Silly -

That is great to hear -- Miller Place is a great. We have a lot of friends that live there, I'm sure you'll love it too. We also have friends that live off Echo - in the Orchards. It will be great to see some neighbors on the cruise!

Hey everyone....so glad we are getting some more responses. As i said we are traveling with 3 other families....me and dh, 2 dd's 16yo and 13yo; another family with 2 dd's aged 17 and 14; another family with 2 dd's aged 15 and 10; and finally a family with 2ds's aged 17 and 13.
We are all from NH. It will be cruise #3 for us. So does anyone have any idea of excursions?

We were thinking of taking it easy in Key West. Just maybe go down to Duval Street and shop. On Grand Cayman we are talking about 7 Mile Beach. (Last year we did Captain Marvin's). In Cozumel we are going to do the Fury Catamaran Sail - our friends did it last year and loved it.

Hi, we will be moving to Nassau County in Long Island too. I will be going with another family of 4 from New Jersey.

We booked the cruise almost immediately after the Nassau County posted the 2004-2005 school calendar on the web site. I have many friends who have kids in the NYC public school. Now that the NYC Public school will also be having the same week off we are trying to convience more friends to join us.

This is our second Disney Cruise!! Just can't wait!!

Hi. I just booked our cruise for this date. I have been on other cruises, but not Disney. So we are first timers. I hope you all will be able to help me plan.

We are just two. We will be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary on board. I was married when I was one year old. LOL:hyper: :hyper:

We live in South Florida jsut outside of Fort Lauderdale and are Disney Nuts. We usually go to Disney 5 to 6 times a year. We are also DVC Members at the BWV.

Just wanted to stop by and say Hello!!!!!!

We are also going~!! I have two girls who will be 15 and 18. This is our 2nd Disney cruise and can't even count total cruises.
At this point we are looking foward to our crusie this year on Carnival Glory 8/21 with my sister's family.
My thoughts on excersions-since we did Western a few times already.
1)Grand Cayman-We did not like 7 mile beach too commercial and tooooo crowded. We did Rum Point beach. It is a 30 min ferry ride across and an absoulte beautiful beach. We even had sting rays's coming right up to us without paying for a sting ray tour. Lunch was included.
2) Key west we had done the city tour via the trolly then just shopped. This year our friends will be staying in Key West so we plan to meet them.
3) Cozumel We have done the Fury catamaran--this was fun!! We did the beach tour and it was ok when we got there (lunch included but weird food.) But once some of the other ships tours started to arrive it got very crowded, we went back early and shopped.
Cozumel has great deals!!!

Welcome webmomom and bakmmo. Sounds like we are going to have quite a few teenage girls on our cruise!
This will be our 3rd DCL cruise and 2nd western. We plan on just shopping and walking around Key West; staying on the ship in GrandCayman(did Stingray City last year) and going to Paradise Beach in Cozumel. Of course after dinner in Cozumel we have to head over to Carlos and Charlies for some "entertainment":smooth:

I have not received any info from Disney yet, as I just booked, so I am somewhat at a lose to what is available in the differrent ports.

One question I do have is, when they dock do they dock at a marina or out in the channel and you must take shuttle boat to get into port?

I probably will have a dozen question's about the cruise, as we have not done this one. If it was WDW no problem , know that place inside and out.

webmomom...usually you only need to tender in at Grand Cayman. It really is pretty easy, painfree and you get a great view of the Magic!!
Please ask away if you have any questions...i would be happy to try to answer them:)

If I book our excersions on my own, will we have a hard time getting a tender? If we do Captin Marvin's, I want to book the early excersion, but I'm wondering if we'll be able to get an early tender.
