April 2018 visit: Epcot or AK??

We are heading back to Disney the first week in April. My kids, DD who is 10 and DS who is 7 have done MK and DHS last Oct. We'd like to do MK again and I'm torn between Epcot or AK since we might only have two days at the parks. MK for a full day and I don't know what the second day should be. My 7yr old gets scared on a lot of things so I'm unsure about all the new stuff at AK. Perhaps, Epcot will be more suitable? I might be able to swing three full days or a parkhopper for two days. I'm undecided. Any input?

My kids are young enough where they don't know anything about Avatar, so perhaps all the new stuff is not even an issue.

Plenty to do that's kid-friendly.

For as much as I love Epcot here is another vote for AK. There is much more for kids to do at AK.

The Safari and the shows are all great. Especially the Lion King show.

All of the walking trails give plenty for kids to discover. The train ride over to Rafiki's Planet Watch.

As far as Pandora it sounds like Flight of Passage might be a bit too much the Navi River boat ride is great for kids.

Read up on It's Tough to be a Bug. It is pretty intense, especially if spiders are a problem.

And consider the Flame Tree BBQ for one of your meals.

Since your kiddos are young, Animal Kingdom is the better option. Epcot is my favorite park but young kids can get bored with World Showcase.
