DD & I leave 4 weeks from today for AS Sports and she won't know until 3 nights before we leave. Got the FP and dinner ressies she would want including A&E.

Problem is our relatives JUST decided they want to stay on property. We could've all had good FP together had they booked way 35 days ago with us, but now I think we will have to sacrifice ours because they procrastinated. Would you give up yours for procrastinating relatives? This group probably wouldn't be in this sitch

I'm the wrong person to ask, because I would not go to WDW with anyone but my sister, and she would be on board with my planning, BUT... NO, I would not sacrifice any of my FP+ or ADRs because some other tagalongs couldn't get their act together (like I said, this is just me - obviously there's a reason I go solo! ) If you can make some changes to include them that won't mess up your plans, that would be nice. But no, no "sacrificing."

I would not give up my FP plans. There are plenty of rides and activities to do together wit out FP.

Got my email about Magic Bands being sent then saw it was parcel post . I'm hoping to get them in time to put into Easter Baskets.

Count me in on the ! I got my email this morning! Magic Band shipment is underway! 4 weeks from right this minute, I will be sitting at my home airport waiting to board the plane!

SeaPic, the USPS service standards posted online say that Package Services mail from Orlando (I'm assuming this is coming from Orlando) should reach anywhere in the continental US within 7 days (I'm assuming those are delivery days, eg no Sundays). Anyway, considering that Easter is still 2 weeks away, it sounds like your package should make it into the Easter Basket. Of course, this is the USPS we're talking about. What a great treat in the Basket, though - better than jelly beans and chocolate eggs, and that's coming from a Sweet Tooth. Good luck!

2disneycruzrs, I guess it depends on what the relatives expect. Are they expecting to spend every second together or are they okay with some independent touring? I wouldn't change mine, I'd just nicely explain that the ressies you made are a big deal to your dd and it's too bad they waited but now you can't change. You could give them your times and let them see if there's any available.

30 days! Is it just me, or do the post-trip blues begin to set in right around the same time as the pre-trip excitement hits near-peak? At this point, I just want time to slow down a little - to savor every minute of the last month planning, and of course the vacation itself. But rather than focusing solely on being excited, a small part of me is already feeling blue that the trip will soon be over.

At this point, I just want time to slow down a little - to savor every minute of the last month planning, and of course the vacation itself. But rather than focusing solely on being excited, a small part of me is already feeling blue that the trip will soon be over.

I get it. I'm to the point now where I'm playing the "exactly X weeks from now I will be..." game - including "X weeks" till the Party is Over! Such is the way of life.

But, to play the game: exactly 4 weeks from right now, I'll be in line or in the seats for the 1:40 Frozen Sing-Along Show! (And 5 weeks from right now, I'll be at home, doing laundry, posting on the Dis, and psyching myself up for going back to work on Monday - in other words, pretty much what I'm doing right now!)

Our magic bands were shipped last Monday 3/16, they sat in limbo somewhere until yesterday when they finally started being tracked again. Now we don't get them till tomorrow, ugh...the waiting is killing me!

I just yesterday booked a last minute weekend solo trip for April 17-19th!

My first time to see Flower & Garden! I'm so exciteddddd!

I landed the last Value resort room with a military rate for those dates, over at All-Star Movies. Which is still on my bucket list of staying at all WDW resorts eventually, so I'll be able to scratch that one off the list!

Great!! I am staying at AS Sports. This resort was the very first we stayed at years ago and I absolutely love it. Great resort for a solo trip!!

My MBs arrived much faster than I thought for parcel post. They s hipped on the 20th, and they arrived yesterday (24th). Not bad, considering two of those days were the weekend!
