When do the airlines release the flights for April 2012 (planning on going two weeks from 31 March or 1 April) either as a stand alone flight option or as part of a package. Just don't want to miss out on availability and perhaps get a good price. We are not the sort of people to wait until the last minute and are happiest when we can say it is booked even if there may be a sale later on.

Generally airlines start releasing flights for booking 330 days in advance, so you would have to wait until 330 days from the date of your return flight to book.

However, we have been checking up on booking Air Miles flights to New York for next summer, and found that even now at 350 days away, flights were available to book (so we booked the 2 remaining seats). When we tried the BA website to get our third seat, they too had flights available up to early September.

May be worth starting to look for flights from around 12 months beforehand. Also, may be worth keeping tabs on flight prices for next Easter so you may be able to spot any trends with regards to sales, offers etc.
