the marching bands are there from March to May -- and April is prime college spring break time. Could those be the reasons? Plus , lots of schools out Easter week.

I can kind of understand March and April due to spring breaks and such but if they're going to put it on for a week between the start of March and the middle of August then why not put it on from the week following Easter (early May) until June 3? One week in the middle is a very strange thing to do in my opinion. My guess is that there are A LOT of bookings in March, April and May already. I'm also guessing that there will be decent AP and general public discounts released. I doubt that a stay 4 get 3 free deal is coming but I wouldn't put something really unique past them...he's hoping I suppose.

And it's really a better time for us to go (no missed sports, etc.). But that darned weather has me worried. a good room discount would be a much better savings for us at the Poly than free dining, though, so I'm still holding out hope for that!

We are planning on being there from 4/3 - 4/10 - first time in April since 2002! Here's hoping some discount comes out - it's early yet so keeping my fingers crossed.

I’m on the lookout for a discount too! The kids and I are going April 2-10 for their birthdays It’s going to be a family trip with my sisters and brother too. I haven’t booked anything yet because I’m not 100% sure that my sibs are coming. If they do come, we’ll stay offsite. If they don’t come, I’m thinking of getting a room at Pop for me and the kids. Please, come on by my PTR and see what I have planned so far! And if anyone else starts one, please let me know. I want to see how other people plan for a trip in April in the peak season - with all of the crowds and the heat! The kids and I usually go in November, so April will be big change for us!

You are right about the crowds - but you are going a good 2 week before Easter so they should not be as bad as later in the month.

As for the "heat" I think you will be very pleasently surprised. We go that same week every year and the weather is AMAZING. Mornings are a little cool (shorts and a hoodie work) buy afternoon shorts and tee and cools a little in the evening again.

Never have I had bad (hot or cold) weather that week. It is always low 80's and sunny with no humidity.

I hate summer in FL - hot, sticky, humid - April is nothing like that.

We love going in April. In all the times we've gone we've only had 1 day that was a bit cooler (light jacket) & drizzly, but it was on our arrival day. Otherwise we've had perfect weather. Warm but not humid.

We have been summer people for the last five or six trips, so I am accustomed to hot and steamy with two-hour ride waits. Hi I am still waiting for any kind of discount..even a little bit. We will be going Apr 24th-28th. Will be in Fla at these dates because we will just be getting back from a cruise. And we couldn't go home without visiting WDW...but can only stay 4nts because of the cost. Just keep on hoping for something.
