April 2009 - When to Book Flight??

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to book flights for the last 2 weeks in April, 2009 (which ends up being May 2).

So far nobody is taking bookings that far in advance. Does anyone know when the schedules open up??

Also, whats this Ding thing everyone talks about??

Where are you flying from? Both Air Canada and Westjet have flights out of Toronto for April 09.

We are leaving April 18, preferably out of Rochester or Buffalo...I haven't seen anything that far off yet.

I've booked nw for next May already. They are 352 out. Most are 330 days.

I'm booking for April 25-May 2, and not having any trouble. Don't book through Disney. They're over $1K higher then everyone else.

So far Orbitz, and this site bookpackrelax. com (remove spaces) are the cheapest. The travel advisor at the link is a personal friend of mine (Kathy) and she's 100% honest and dependable...tell her I referred you if you like.

I'm getting numbers around $1500 for 5 of us, out of Detroit, direct flights. I want to get it booked asap so we don't get screwed if oil goes any higher...

Which airlines are you booking with?? I Flew Airtran last April out of Rochester and it was $900 CDN return for 4. Direct. I am hoping to get the same sort of deal and agree, book now to avoid the price hikes due to the oil prices.

We are heading out around the same time as you are and have done the same in the past. I believe Southwest (out of Buffalo) open up that time period I want to say November. Either way, it is a bit away. So don't fret, you have plenty of time.

The flights that have just been released are around 129.00 each way, hopefully as time goes on they will come down a little, still not a bad deal, but certainly not like the 69.00 of yet a year ago. Oh well! Not much you can do.

Southwest came out with their rates today thru till Jan 9/09 and they have gone way up in prices.
