April 2008 TR

Moi Aussi! I too am wondering about just how do you get that hair wrap out? :confused3 Emma I also noticed in your post about the supper at Old Faithful Club, you referred to the carbonated beverages as "Pop". I though only us Canadians used that word! :) I've always heard americans use the word "Soda"!

"pop" are you from the north? LOL We southerns call EVERY soda a "coke"!

I loved this update! Spectro always makes me cry! Now I am so home sick!;)

In the Northeast, we call it a "soda." But now that we live in the Midwest, everyone here calls it "pop!" So, maybe she is a Midwestern girl!!

Baba Ghanoush. (OK, pause: everybody say that out loud. You know you want to…Doesn’t it just sound awesome?)

Oh my gosh. I'm cracking up right now. Baba Ghanoush reminds me of 2 things - First, a quote from Wedding Crashers ("Hey! Bubba Ganoosh!"), and the song Baba O'Riely by the Who. And, naturally, I didn't heed your warning and I am now starving.

Fairy Float!

I'm pretty sure this was the Sleeping Beauty float that I got to sit in when I did my College Program. The huge building where the floats are stored is right behind Splash Mountain, and one day while I was training my trainer took me to the building and I actually got to sit in the driver's seat of one of the Sleeping Beauty floats and go inside the Mickey snow globe from the (RIP) Share A Dream Come True parade. Easily the coolest memory I have from the CP or Disney World in general.

The pictures of Cinderella Castle are amazing! I'm going to have to stay for the Kiss Goodnight. I've never seen it before.

Goldydart. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Is that one of those Mickey bead bracelets is see?

Oh, no, not sick at WDW! I know how it feels! I got really sick, like fever sick on our trip last summer! Yuck!

Hope you ended up feeling better fast!

So happy to see you had another installment for us ! Sorry to hear you were feeling a bit ill, but glad that it didn't stop you from enjoying yourself all that much! Anxious to hear your report on Yak and YEti, as I just made a ressie for our upcoming trip. I am reading sooooo many mixed feelings about this place and I'm still somewhat unsure whether we want to use one TableService for this. Can't wait!!!:goodvibes

Wow! That is too cool that you got to sit in a Spectro float! I never thought of this before, but where is the driver's seat? I should look for it next time!

The driver's seat for the particular float you have pictured is towards the back. See that big blue fiber optic flower and then that big mass of solid black? That's the compartment. Some of the floats (think among the line of the Mickey float in the beginning) has a tiny driver's seat where s/he can only see out of a box that's around a square foot small. It was so crazy to think that these people sit in there and drive the floats down Main Street and up through Liberty Square and Frontierland. They do go through rigorous training that takes just over a month.

Anyway.

I'm sorry you're were sick! I hate getting sick in FL. I always seem to get sick AFTER I come home though. I was very sick when I did my CP - for about 2 weeks I had strep throat, only when I went to Florida Hospital Centra Care the lady told me I didn't have it. I came home, went to my family doctor who diagnosed me with it. :furious: Needless to say those people got an ear-full from my super protective father.

Isn't Everest so cool? I actually don't mind the line for that ride because the theming is unbelievable. I always see tons of stuff I missed before.

I especially love the one taken from above the spiral section of track on Everest. Nice picture of the Yeti, too! You were a very good Disney snob to refrain from using flash! :)

Wow they still sell those T-shirts! (the one's in the background about Tigger and Pooh!) My brother got one when we went on our first trip in 2001 and everytime we see a tiger we have to ask that question ('Tigger is that you?!') it made us laugh so much. First time memories are always the best!

:scared1: look at that track on Everest!!! Can't wait to ride, but I can see why it made you feel even worse!

Poor you for being ill at WDW :(

Super Pics, So Sorry you were sick!

I have that Mickey bead bracelet in Blue and I wear it to work all the time! Just doin' what I can to keep the magic alive! LOL

I am really enjoying your report. Can't wait for more!:thumbsup2
I am from the Midwest and my DH (from Georgia) didn't believe me that everyone up there called it "pop"

Well you should have seen his face when he came up there the first time and saw "ICE COLD POP" in the windows of the convenient stores!:rotfl2:

I can't wait to hear about Yak and Yeti!
