April 2005 ..PRICES !!!

I am booked for a 7-night Disney Magic cruise next May (actually sails April 30th)
I was checking into the same cruise earlier , since the kids have an April school vacation around the middle of the month.

I was SHOCKED to see the same cruise & cabin at 7,000+ dollars for a family of 4 !!!
And I was debating still going at the 5,000+ for April 30th.

Has anyone actually paid over 7 thousand dollars to go on a Disney cruise during April ????

I love Disney, but, this is crazy. We could do 3 cruises all in April for the price of 1 Disney cruise.

I wouldn't pay it!! I couldn't afford to LOL.....I am booked on April 30th and for the three of us I paid under 3000 and have a 200.00 stateroom credit to! I just take her out of school and go on an off week....can't afford to go when school is out and I have NO desire to travel when all the schools are out either LOL...

We also have a cruise booked for April 2005. For the 4 of us we paid just under $3000 for a SPH. We booked on our last cruise. After we returned home I noticed that the prices had already started to creap up and it was about 19 months in advance.

My son and I are sailing on April 23 (school's closed here that week). The price was just a little over $2000.00

I'm sure it would be cheaper if we went the week before or after, but there's no way I'd pull my son out of school for a disney trip. I'm just stuck with the higher rates.

We have an April 2nd(our kids are out then) 7 night booked for a family of 4, cat. 10 for $3000. I have also accumulated $500 in Disney credit with my Visa card to help with the expenses on the boat! Haven't checked in a couple of weeks, but I think it has gone up about $2000 since we booked back in sept/oct.

We are booked on the Apr 23, 2005 cruise and, yes, we are paying more than $7000.00 for a family of 4 in Cat 5. Last year we went a week later and it was almost $2000.00 less for a cat 4!!

Hi all we were going to go in April but opted for January due to time off etc. We are now going in Januaryand with the exchange we will be paying just around 10,000.00 for four of us so I think 7,000.00 would be great to pay! No fire this way please but I'd be thrilled to pay almost 3,000 less.

For around $7000.00, you could get a Cat. 3 Suite w/ Concierge Service in September of 2005 for a family of 5.

April is Spring Break month so it doesn't surprise me that the cruise prices are high - even airfare sky rockets around this time.

It's crazy!

$3500 for the April 2 sailing. (Cat 4) Might be higher than norm since its just me sailing.

We are going in April and are paying....nothing!!

We're going on DVC points, gotta love it. Well, its not really nothing, but we didn't have to fork over any cash.

I just booked a cat 10 secret porthole on a 4 day wonder cruise in sept 05 for 1447.40 for our family of 4. I think I got a pretty good deal!

Hi

We're going on the 7 day Western on April 9, 2004. I am paying 3600 CDN dollars for 4 of us - this includes taxes and port charges as well as cancellation insurance. I don't pay the fee for my little one as she is still 2 when we sail (she'll be 3 two days after we get off the ship) - just taxes and port charges for her.

My in-laws are also with us in a Cat 11 inside, wheelchair cabin and are paying 2899.00 CDN which includes everything.

I have found the prices to be better from this end rather then through the US.

Did you all book thru DCL directly? I booked my May 2005 w/ Dream Unlimited and got a much better deal than DCL!
