Happy New Year!

We're finally getting some snow - only problem is it may be more than we really wanted! Time to go dig out my Jimmy Buffet CD's - start thinking about being somewhere a little warmer!

We'll see the 70s today. We might as well live in Florida! The girls made a paper chain with the number of days left until the cruise and they really enjoy tearing off a link every night. It really seemed to be getting close until I saw how long that chain is! I'm anxious to get back to work, seems like the time goes by faster and with all this time off (I'm a preschool teacher) I'm going stir crazy! Happy New Year everyone! Elayna (DD7) wanted everyone to know that she made it up to see the Peach drop!

I'd trade for some warmer weather too! But - I got what I asked for! We haven't had any significant snowfall yet this year...at least until today. We've had about 5" and it's not really stopped yet. To top it off the wind's blowing some nice drifts around too....

We're supposed to be around 70 this week until Thursday when...... our high will only be 58!!! We WILL pay for this milder weather though - we always do!

And folks wondered why all those WI badger fans were so happy to be in Florida for the Outback Bowl even though they lost.

I just got done feeding our horses - it's a windy 12 degrees right now.... I'd trade for mid 50's any time!

Hi All.
I justed emailed our travel agent to cancel our ressie for April 2, 2005. DH has work obligations that he cannot get out of.

Fortunately, I never told the kids, so they don't have to go through the disappointment. I transferred our deposit to April 1, 2006...hopefully that's when our spring break will be.

It's been fun getting to know all of you! I wish you the very best FUN of your lives!

Sorry things didn't work out Lisa. The good news is that when we are depressed about our cruise being over, you will still be in the planning stages! Maybe we should just all rebook while on board and join you next April! I wish I could afford it! Christy

Yea Crystal! Glad you made it. There's a post on this tread a few pages back that tells a little about all of us that you can read. This is my first cruise with DCL, but I have been on a couple of others before kids. I have two girls, Elayna 7 and Ansley 4. We booked back in October of 2003 and I have about drove my DH crazy since then with planning this cruise. We're in cabin 2101. Glad you came on "board"!

Hi We booked in March 2004. Our cabin is 2024 cat 9. It will be the 4 of us going. Myself, husband and my son 8 and daughter 9. We are coming to Florida from California. This will be a dream vacation for us since we LOVE Disney so much! I wonder if our cabins are close by? Crystal

Crystal, same floor, but your further forward than me and Nena. Still close though! This is a dream vacation for us as well. I've been on two short cruises on other lines over 10 years ago and have always wanted to cruise again. We thought about taking a short "couple" cruise, but I know I would have just worried about the kids. Thought this would be the best of both worlds! Would love to say that we will go on others, but this will likely be the only one we can afford unless I go back to full time work anytime soon! I've already started packing and go down to the guest room several times a week and just think about what else I can go ahead and pack! I need help, the bad dreams have already started. The latest was that I fell asleep the first night and did not wake up until the last night of the cruise. I need help!

Hi, Thats good we are close by on the ship! I have had dreams too about the cruise but they have been good dreams. I guess the thing I won't like is the flight over. I feel like I have to do so much so I don't miss anything (shore excursions,Palo etc.) so I don't miss anything just in case it is our only Disney cruise. I'm a stay at home mom just recently so cost is an issue too. Iv'e heard bad things about where we are staying the night before too so that concerns me. I thought your idea about the paper chain was cute so my kids made one this morning. Everytime I tell my kids I can't wait they remind me how far away it is. My daughters birthday this month and she will be getting luggage and things for the cruise same goes for my son next month. Sometimes I think I am too obsessed with this,then I think no its fun to be excited!! I still need to lose 18.5 pounds before I cruise so I can eat whatever I want when I get on board!
